 ජාතික ජන බලවේගය බලය හොබවන අකුරැස්ස ප්‍රාදේශීය සභාවේ සභාපතිවරයා විසින් තමන්ට අමානුෂික ලෙස පහර දුන් බව පවසමින් පුද්ගලයෙකු රෝහල්ගත වී තිබේ.

පහර කෑමට ලක්වූ පුද්ගලයා පවසන පරිදි, ඔහු එම ස්ථානයට පැමිණ ඇත්තේ සිදුවන දේ නිරීක්ෂණය කිරීමට මිස කිසිදු කලහකාරී ලෙස හැසිරීමට නොවේ.

කිසිදු කාරණයකින් තොරව සභාපතිවරයා තමන් වෙත පැමිණ පහර දුන් බව ඔහු චෝදනා කරයි.

"මම මෙතනට ආවේ මේ සිදුවීම බලන්න. මම කාගෙන්වත් කිසිම දෙයක් ඇහුවේ නැහැ, කිසිම බාධාවක් කළේ නැහැ. සභාපතිතුමා එකපාරටම ඇවිත් 'උඹ මොකද මෙතන කරන්නේ' කියලා අහලා මට තුන් හතර වතාවක් පහර දුන්නා. මම බිම වැටුණා, මගේ ෆෝන් එකත් විසිවෙලා ගියා. මට දැන් හරිම අමාරුයි, කරකැවිල්ල වගේ තියෙනවා," යැයි පහර කෑමට ලක්වූ පුද්ගලයා රෝහල් ඇඳේ සිට ප්‍රකාශ කළේය.

මෙම පහරදීම පරණ තරහක් පිරිමසා ගැනීම සඳහා සිදු කරන ලද්දක් විය හැකි බවට ද ඔහු සැක පළ කරයි.

තමන් සාමකාමීව සිටියදී මෙලෙස පහර දීම කිසිසේත්ම අනුමත කළ නොහැකි බවත්, මේ සම්බන්ධයෙන් බලධාරීන්ගේ අවධානය යොමු විය යුතු බවත් ඔහු වැඩිදුරටත් සඳහන් කළේය.

Political Dispute Escalates as Local Council Chairman Allegedly Assaults Observer

A man has been hospitalized after alleging that he was physically assaulted by the chairman of the Akurassa local council, representing the National People's Power party. The incident reportedly occurred while the individual was present to observe ongoing activities, rather than to disrupt proceedings.

The victim contends that the chairman approached him without provocation and struck him multiple times. “I came here to witness what was happening. I didn’t hear anything from anyone, nor did I cause any disturbance. The chairman approached me directly, asked, ‘What are you doing here?’ and then hit me three or four times. I fell to the ground, and my phone was damaged in the process. I’m in a lot of pain now,” he stated from his hospital bed.

The victim expressed suspicion that the assault might have stemmed from underlying tensions related to an older dispute. He insisted that such violent behavior, especially when he was merely being peaceful, is completely unacceptable, urging authorities to take serious note of the issue.
