කොළඹ වරාය නගරයේදී චීන ජාතිකයෙකු පැහැරගෙන ගොස් ඝාතනය කිරීමේ සිද්ධිය, පරිගණක ආශ්රිත මූල්ය වංචා සිදුකරන කණ්ඩායම් දෙකක් අතර ඇති වූ ගැටුමක ප්රතිඵලයක් බව අනාවරණය වී ඇතැයි කොළඹ දිසාව භාර නියෝජ්ය පොලිස්පති නිශාන්ත සොයිසා මහතා පවසයි.
ම ඝාතනයට සම්බන්ධ ප්රධාන සැකකරුවන් දෙදෙනෙකු මෙරටින් පලා යාමට උත්සාහ කිරීමේදී කටුනායක ගුවන් තොටුපොළේදී අත්අඩංගුවට ගැනීමට පොලිසිය සමත් වී තිබේ.
පසුගිය 23 වනදා අලුයම 3.00ට පමණ වරාය නගරයේදී චීන ජාතිකයන් පිරිසක් අතර ඇති වූ මෙම ගැටුමෙන් පසු එක් පුද්ගලයෙකු පැහැරගෙන ගොස් තිබුණි.
පසුව ඔහුගේ මළ සිරුර ඇහැලියගොඩ ප්රදේශයේ දමා ගොස් තිබියදී පොලිසිය විසින් සොයා ගන්නා ලදී.
මියගිය පුද්ගලයා පරිගණක ආශ්රිතව විවිධ මූල්ය වංචා සිදුකරමින් අයථා ලෙස මුදල් උපයන අයෙකු බවට විමර්ශනවලදී හෙළි වී ඇත.
මෙම අපරාධය සම්බන්ධයෙන් සැකකරුවන් අට දෙනෙකු හඳුනාගෙන ඇති අතර, ඉන් තිදෙනෙකු දැනටමත් මෙරටින් පලා ගොස් තිබේ. ඔවුන් යළි මෙරටට ගෙන්වා ගැනීමට අවශ්ය පියවර ගනිමින් සිටින බව නියෝජ්ය පොලිස්පතිවරයා සඳහන් කළේය.
අත්අඩංගුවට ගත් සැකකරුවන් සන්තකයේ තිබී වායු පිස්තෝල දෙකක්, ජංගම දුරකථනයක්, වෝකි ටෝකි යන්ත්රයක් සහ අපරාධය සඳහා යොදාගත් වාහන කිහිපයක්ද පොලිස් භාරයට ගෙන ඇත.
මීට අමතරව, පසුගිය දින කිහිපය තුළ ගල්කිස්ස, බොරලැස්ගමුව, නවගමුව, වත්තල සහ දෙමටගොඩ යන ප්රදේශවල සිදුවූ වෙඩි තැබීම් සම්බන්ධයෙන්ද විමර්ශන ක්රියාත්මක බව ඒ මහතා පැවසීය.
විශේෂයෙන්ම දෙහිවල සුසාන භූමිය අසල සිදුවූ වෙඩි තැබීමේ සිද්ධියට සම්බන්ධ වෙඩික්කරු ඇතුළු සැකකරුවන් පිරිසක් මේ වන විටත් අත්අඩංගුවට ගෙන ඇති බව නියෝජ්ය පොලිස්පති නිශාන්ත සොයිසා මහතා වැඩිදුරටත් තහවුරු කළේය.
Chinese National Murder Linked to Financial Fraud Gang Conflict in Colombo Port City
The recent murder of a Chinese national in Colombo Port City has been established as the result of a clash between two groups involved in computer-related financial fraud, disclosed Deputy Inspector General of Police Nishantha Soiza.
Authorities successfully apprehended two primary suspects attempting to flee the country at Katunayake Airport as they sought to escape the implications of their involvement in the murder.
The incident occurred around 3:00 AM on the 23rd when a group of Chinese nationals became embroiled in a violent altercation, leading to one person being abducted.
Subsequent investigations revealed that the victim's body was discovered in a concealed location in the Aheliyagoda area.
Preliminary findings indicate that the deceased was engaged in various financial scams leveraging computer technology to unlawfully acquire funds.
In connection with this crime, eight suspects have been identified, with three already having fled the country. The Deputy Inspector General mentioned that measures are being taken to extradite these individuals back to Sri Lanka.
Police have also seized two air pistols, a mobile phone, a walkie-talkie, and several vehicles implicated in the crime from the arrested suspects.
Moreover, investigations are underway concerning a series of shootings that took place recently in areas including Kalutara, Boralesgamuwa, Nawagamuwa, Wattala, and Dematagoda.
Significantly, Deputy Inspector General Soiza confirmed that several suspects linked to a shooting incident near the Dehiwala Cemetery have already been apprehended.
