ජනතාව නාමල් ඉල්ලුවොත් නාමල් දෙනවා..- මහින්ද..

 රටේ වත්මන් දේශපාලන තත්ත්වය අතිශය කණගාටුදායක බවත්, රජය සිය පවුලේ සාමාජිකයන් සහ හිතවතුන් ඉලක්ක කරගනිමින් කටයුතු කරන්නේ දඩයම් කිරීමට වෙනත් පිරිසක් නොමැති නිසා බවත් හිටපු ජනාධිපති මහින්ද රාජපක්ෂ මහතා පවසයි.

මාධ්‍යවේදීන් නැගූ ප්‍රශ්න කිහිපයකට පිළිතුරු දෙමින් ඒ මහතා මේ බව කියා සිටියේය.

යෝෂිත රාජපක්ෂ සහ නාමල් රාජපක්ෂ සම්බන්ධයෙන් විමර්ශන සහ අත්අඩංගුවට ගැනීම් පිළිබඳව අදහස් දක්වමින් ඔහු මෙසේ පැවසීය.

"වෙන කවුරුත් නැහැනේ, ඉතින් අපිව තමයි අල්ලගන්න තියෙන්නේ. අපි හැමදාමත් ජනතාවත් එක්ක ඉන්නවා. ඒක තමයි මේ හැමදේටම හේතුව."

2029 වසරේ පැවැත්වීමට නියමිත ජනාධිපතිවරණය සඳහා ශ්‍රී ලංකා පොදුජන පෙරමුණෙන් ඉදිරිපත් කරන අපේක්ෂකයා කවුරුන්ද යන්න පිළිබඳව කළ විමසීමේදී ඔහු සඳහන් කළේ, ඒ සඳහා සුදුසු පුද්ගලයා ජනතාව විසින්ම තීරණය කරනු ඇති බවයි.

නාමල් රාජපක්ෂ මහතා අපේක්ෂකයා ලෙස ඉදිරිපත් කරන්නේදැයි විමසූ විට, "ජනතාව ඉල්ලනවා නම් අපි දෙනවා, ජනතාව ඉල්ලන්නේ නැති කෙනෙක්ව අපි ඉදිරිපත් කරන්නේ නැහැ" යනුවෙන් ඔහු අවධාරණය කළේය.

වත්මන් රජය ගොවි ජනතාව මුහුණ දෙන ගැටලුවලට නිසි විසඳුම් ලබා නොදෙන බවට ද හිටපු ජනාධිපතිවරයා චෝදනා කළේය. වත්මන් පාලකයින් ගොවීන් සමඟ සමීප සබඳතාවක් නොමැති බවත්, ඔවුන් ජනතාවගෙන් ඈත් වී කටයුතු කරන බවත් ඔහු පෙන්වා දුන්නේය.

තමන් කිසිසේත්ම දේශපාලනයෙන් සමුගැනීමට සූදානම් නොමැති බවත්, ඉදිරියේදී ජනතාව ඒකරාශී කරගනිමින් ශක්තිමත් දේශපාලන ගමනක් යාමට සූදානම් බවත් මහින්ද රාජපක්ෂ මහතා වැඩිදුරටත් ප්‍රකාශ කළේය.

Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa Criticizes Current Political Climate

The current political situation in Sri Lanka is exceedingly disheartening, according to former President Mahinda Rajapaksa. He expressed concerns that the government is primarily targeting family members and close associates, suggesting this arises from a lack of alternative options for their actions.

Rajapaksa made these remarks while responding to questions from the media, particularly regarding investigations and arrests related to Yoshitha Rajapaksa and Namal Rajapaksa.

"No one else is being targeted, so we are the ones facing the brunt. We have always stood with the people, and that’s the very reason behind all this," he emphasized.

When asked about who would represent the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna in the presidential elections scheduled for 2029, he indicated that the appropriate candidate would ultimately be determined by the public.

In response to inquiries about whether Namal Rajapaksa would be a candidate, he asserted, "If the people request it, we will present him. We won't introduce someone who isn't sought after by the public," reiterating the need for public support.

The former president also criticized the current administration for failing to provide effective solutions to the challenges facing farmers, stating that the ruling authorities lack a close relationship with the agricultural community and are disconnected from the realities of the populace.

Rajapaksa further declared that he has no intention of stepping away from politics and is prepared to embark on a robust political journey with the people in the future.
