පලෙයි රක්ෂිත ප්‍රදේශයේ එල්.ටී.ටී.ඊ කඳවුරක් සහ බෝම්බ නිෂ්පාදනාගාරයක් ඉදිකරන බවට එල්ල වූ බරපතළ චෝදනාවෙන් හෙළි කරන ප්‍රදේශයේ විශේෂ කාර්ය බලකාය සහ පොලිසිය එක්ව මීට පෙර විශේෂ මෙහෙයුමක් සිදු කර ඇති බව සහ එහිදී පුද්ගලයින් 09 දෙනෙකු අත්අඩංගුවට ගෙන ඇති බව  'Mee Massoo TV' යූ ටියුබ් නාලිකාව වාර්තා කරයි.

පසුගිය ජුලි මාසයේ මෙම ස්ථානයේ වැටලීමක් සිදු කරන අවස්ථාවේදී එහි සිටි පිරිස සහ වන සංරක්ෂණ නිලධාරීන් අතර දැඩි නොසන්සුන්කාරී තත්ත්වයක් හටගෙන ඇති අතර, තත්ත්වය පාලනය කිරීම සඳහා විශේෂ කාර්ය බලකාය විසින් අහසට වෙඩි තැබීමට ද සිදු ව ඇති බව වාර්තාවනවා.

එහිදී අත්අඩංගුවට ගත් සැකකරුවන් 9 දෙනා සහ එහි තිබූ ජේ.සී.බී යන්ත්‍රයක් කිලිනොච්චි මහේස්ත්‍රාත් අධිකරණයට ඉදිරිපත් කිරීමෙන් අනතුරුව රක්ෂිත බන්ධනාගාරගත කර ඇති අතර, පසුව ඔවුන් ඇප මත මුදා හැර තිබේ. මෙම සිද්ධිය සම්බන්ධයෙන් වන නඩුව අගෝස්තු 18 නැවත කැඳවීමට නියමිතය.

මේ සම්බන්ධයෙන් ප්‍රකාශයක් සිදු කළ ආචාර්ය සංගීත් ජයසේකර මහතා ප්‍රකාශයක් ලබා ගැනීම සඳහා ඉදිරියේදී ත්‍රස්ත විමසන කොට්ඨාශය වෙත කැඳවීමට ද පියවර ගෙන ඇති බවට තොරතුරු ලැබී ඇති බවද මාධ්‍යවේදී කල්ප ගුණරත්න මහතා අනාවරණය කර තිබෙනවා.

Operation Targets Alleged LTTE Camp in Palai Reserve; Nine Arrested

In a significant operation, a special task force and police have uncovered a suspected LTTE camp and an alleged bomb manufacturing facility in the Palai Reserve, leading to the arrest of nine individuals. The operation was reported by 'Mee Massoo TV', which highlighted the tensions in the area surrounding these alarming revelations.

The accusations emerged during a recent press conference held by Dr. Sangeeth Jayasekera, the executive director of an organization under the International Inter-Island Human Rights Commission, where he stated that an LTTE camp was allegedly being established within the reserve.

Initial investigations reveal that over 30 acres of land at Akkarayankulam Reserve has been illegally cleared and that these activities were conducted without any government approval.

Kalpa Gunaratne, a journalist for 'Mee Massoo TV', indicated that the site is being operated under a project named 'Nexter Farm', specifically for the cultivation of sea cucumbers. Reports suggest that authorities have previously taken measures against illegal clearing at this location on multiple occasions.

The situation escalated in July when conservation officers and individuals on-site experienced a major standoff, prompting the special task force to fire shots into the air to maintain control.

Following the arrests, the nine suspects and a JCB machinery were brought before the Kilinochchi Magistrate's Court and later released on bail. A hearing concerning this incident is set to reconvene on August 18.

Regarding the ongoing investigations, Dr. Sangeeth Jayasekera has reportedly taken steps to summon the terrorism inquiry division for further clarification. However, sources indicate that no evidence has been found to suggest the area was used as a terrorist camp prior to this incident.
