හිටපු කාන්තා හා ළමා කටයුතු රාජ්‍ය අමාත්‍ය මෙන්ම ප්‍රවීණ සිනමා නිළි ගීතා කුමාරසිංහ මහත්මියගේ ස්විට්සර්ලන්ත ජාතික සැමියා වූ ක්‍රිස් ෆර්ඩිනන්ඩ් (Chris Ferdinand) මහතා අභාවප්‍රාප්ත වී තිබේ.

මියයන විට ඒ මහතා 81 වන වියේ පසුවිය.

බත්තරමුල්ල, ජයන්තිපුර ප්‍රදේශයේ පිහිටි සිය දියණියගේ නිවසේ රැඳී සිටි ඒ මහතා, ඊයේ (20) උදෑසන අවදි නොවීම හේතුවෙන් පවුලේ සාමාජිකයන් ඒ පිළිබඳව තලංගම පොලිසිය දැනුවත් කර ඇත.

පසුව සිදුකළ පරීක්ෂණවලදී ඔහු සිය නිදි යහන මතම මියගොස් සිටින බව අනාවරණය වී තිබේ.

සිද්ධිය සම්බන්ධයෙන් තලංගම හදිසි මරණ පරීක්ෂක ස්ථානීය පරීක්ෂණයක් පවත්වා ඇති අතර, පශ්චාත් මරණ පරීක්ෂණය සඳහා දේහය කොළඹ පොලිස් මෘත ශරීරාගාරය වෙත යොමු කරන ලෙස පොලිසියට නියෝග කළාය.

පශ්චාත් මරණ පරීක්ෂණ කටයුතු අවසන් කිරීමෙන් අනතුරුව, දේහය අවසන් කටයුතු සඳහා ස්විට්සර්ලන්තය වෙත රැගෙන යාමට නියමිත බව තලංගම පොලිසිය සඳහන් කරයි.

Former Minister's Husband Chris Ferdinand Passes Away at 81

Chris Ferdinand, husband of former State Minister of Women's and Children's Affairs and acclaimed actress Geetha Kumara Singh, has passed away. He was 81 years old at the time of his death.

Ferdinand was residing at his daughter's home in the Batharamulla, Jayantipura area. Family members alerted the Talangama Police on the morning of October 20, after noticing he did not wake up.

Subsequent investigations revealed that he had died in his sleep. Local authorities conducted an investigation into the incident, and the police have ordered that the body be sent to the Colombo Judicial Medical Officer for a post-mortem examination.

Once the post-mortem procedures are concluded, authorities from Talangama stated that arrangements will be made to repatriate the remains to Switzerland for final rites.
