 මනුෂ්‍ය ඝාතන ඇතුළු දරුණු ගණයේ අපරාධ රැසකට සම්බන්ධ ප්‍රබල පාතාල කල්ලි නායකයකු වන 'කංජිපානි ඉම්රාන්' නමැත්තා ජාත්‍යන්තර පොලිසිය මගහරිමින් යුරෝපා රටක සැඟව සිට මෙරට පාතාල ක්‍රියාකාරකම් මෙහෙයවන බවට ආරක්ෂක අංශ වෙත තොරතුරු අනාවරණය වී තිබේ.

බුද්ධි අංශ වාර්තා පෙන්වා දෙන්නේ 2019 වසරේදී ඩුබායි රාජ්‍යයේදී අත්අඩංගුවට ගෙන මෙරටට පිටුවහල් කිරීමෙන් පසු බූස්ස අධි ආරක්ෂිත බන්ධනාගාරයේ රඳවා සිටි මොහු, 2021 වසරේදී ඇප මත මුදාහැරීමත් සමඟ මෙරටින් පලා ගොස් ඇති බවයි.

එතැන් පටන් ව්‍යාජ ගුවන් ගමන් බලපත්‍ර භාවිත කරමින් විවිධ දේශසීමා හරහා සැරිසරන ඔහු, මේ වන විට ජාත්‍යන්තර ත්‍රස්ත සංවිධාන සහ මහා පරිමාණ මාෆියා කල්ලි සමඟ සබඳතා පවත්වන බවට බරපතළ බුද්ධි තොරතුරු ලැබී ඇත.

විදෙස්ගතව සිට මෙරට මත්ද්‍රව්‍ය ජාලය මෙහෙයවමින් ජාතික ආරක්ෂාවට සහ සාමයට තර්ජනයක් වන අයුරින් කටයුතු කරන මෙම අපරාධකරු අත්අඩංගුවට ගැනීම සඳහා ශ්‍රී ලංකා පොලිසියේ ඉල්ලීම මත ජාත්‍යන්තර පොලිසිය (Interpol) විසින් 2024 අගෝස්තු 02 වැනිදා 'A-888' අංකය යටතේ රතු වරෙන්තුවක් ද නිකුත් කර තිබේ.

කෙසේ වෙතත්, ඔහු නිරන්තරයෙන් සිය වාසස්ථාන මාරු කරමින් ආරක්ෂක අංශ මගහරිමින් සිටින බව විමර්ශන නිලධාරීහු පවසති.

මෙම අපරාධකරු හෝ ඔහුගේ ජාත්‍යන්තර සබඳතා පිළිබඳ යම් තොරතුරක් වෙතොත්, අපරාධ පරීක්ෂණ දෙපාර්තමේන්තුවේ ජාත්‍යන්තර පොලිස් ඒකකය වෙත හෝ අදාළ රටවල ජාත්‍යන්තර පොලිස් ඒකක වෙත දැනුම් දෙන ලෙස විදෙස්ගත ශ්‍රී ලාංකිකයන්ගෙන් බලධාරීහු වැඩිදුරටත් ඉල්ලා සිටිති.

Interpol Issues Red Notice for Notorious Sri Lankan Gang Leader 'Kanjipani Imran'

Emerging information has revealed that 'Kanjipani Imran', a prominent figure linked to a series of brutal crimes including homicide, is reportedly operating from a European country, evading international law enforcement.

Intelligence reports indicate that Imran was arrested in Dubai in 2019 and subsequently extradited to Sri Lanka. Following his confinement in a high-security prison, he was released on bail in 2021 and has since fled the country.

Since then, he has been utilizing false aviation documents to traverse various borders. Current intelligence suggests he is maintaining connections with international terrorist networks and large-scale organized crime syndicates.

This fugitive is believed to be orchestrating drug trafficking operations in Sri Lanka while posing a significant threat to national security and public peace. In response to a request from the Sri Lanka Police, Interpol issued a Red Notice under the case number 'A-888' on August 2, 2024, for his capture.

However, investigations reveal that he is continuously changing residences to evade capture by security agencies.

Authorities are urging expatriate Sri Lankans to report any information regarding Imran or his international connections to the International Police Unit of the Criminal Investigation Department or the corresponding Interpol offices in their respective countries.
