රජයේ වියදම් පාලනය කිරීම සඳහා අමාත්‍යවරුන් සහ රාජ්‍ය නිලධාරීන් වෙත පනවා තිබූ ඉන්ධන නිකුත් කිරීමේ සීමාවන් වහාම ක්‍රියාත්මක වන පරිදි ඉවත් කිරීමට රජය පියවර ගෙන ඇත.

මුදල් අමාත්‍යාංශ ලේකම්වරයා විසින් මේ සම්බන්ධයෙන් වන නව චක්‍රලේඛය සියලුම අමාත්‍යාංශ ලේකම්වරුන්, පළාත් ප්‍රධාන ලේකම්වරුන්, දෙපාර්තමේන්තු ප්‍රධානීන්, දිස්ත්‍රික් ලේකම්වරුන් සහ රාජ්‍ය ව්‍යවස්ථාපිත මණ්ඩල සභාපතිවරුන් වෙත නිකුත් කර තිබේ.

මැදපෙරදිග කලාපයේ පවතින යුදමය වාතාවරණය සැලකිල්ලට ගනිමින් රජයේ වියදම් කළමනාකරණය කිරීමේ අරමුණින් පසුගිය අප්‍රේල් මස 02 වනදා විශේෂ චක්‍රලේඛයක් නිකුත් කර තිබුණි.

එමගින් අමාත්‍යවරුන්, නියෝජ්‍ය අමාත්‍යවරුන්, පාර්ලිමේන්තු මන්ත්‍රීවරුන් සහ රාජ්‍ය නිලධාරීන් සඳහා ලබාදෙන ඉන්ධන දීමනාව මාර්තු මස 01 වන දින පැවති මිල ගණන්වලට යටත්ව සීමා කිරීමට පියවර ගැනුණි.

කෙසේ වෙතත්, මුදල් අමාත්‍යාංශය නිකුත් කළ නව චක්‍රලේඛය මගින් එම සීමාවන් අහෝසි කර ඇති අතර, ඒ අනුව ජූලි මස 01 වනදා සිට ක්‍රියාත්මක වන පරිදි වර්තමානයේ පවතින වෙළෙඳපොළ මිල ගණන් යටතේ ඉන්ධන දීමනා ලබා ගැනීමට අදාළ පාර්ශ්වයන්ට අවස්ථාව හිමි වේ.

Government Lifts Fuel Allowance Restrictions for Ministers and Officials

The Sri Lankan government has taken immediate action to remove restrictions on fuel allocation that were previously imposed on ministers and state officials to manage public expenditure.

A new circular issued by the Secretary to the Treasury has been disseminated to all secretaries of ministries, provincial chief secretaries, heads of departments, district secretaries, and chairpersons of statutory boards. This decision signals a shift in policy regarding fuel allowances.

In response to the prevailing military climate in the Middle Eastern region, the government had previously implemented a special circular on April 2, aimed at managing public spending effectively.

This earlier directive included measures to limit the fuel allowances for ministers, deputy ministers, parliamentarians, and state officials based on fuel price levels recorded on March 1. However, the most recent circular from the Treasury Secretary nullifies those restrictions.

As a result, from July 1 onward, relevant parties will be allowed to receive fuel allowances based on current market prices, marking a significant policy reversal in response to evolving economic conditions.
