ස්ටෑන්ඩර්ඩ් චාර්ටඩ් බැංකුවේ කළමනාකරණ සහ සිල්ලර බැංකු සේවා එළඹෙන 2026 ජූලි 31 වනදා සිට DFCC බැංකුව වෙත පැවරීමට කටයුතු යොදා ඇති බව එම බැංකුව නිවේදනය කරයි.

මෙම සංක්‍රාන්ති ක්‍රියාවලිය වඩාත් විධිමත්ව සිදු කිරීම සඳහා 2026 ජූලි 31 වනදා සිට අගෝස්තු 02 වනදා දක්වා වූ සති අන්තයේ බැංකු සේවා තාවකාලිකව අත්හිටුවීමට නියමිතය. 

මේ හේතුවෙන් ගනුදෙනුකරුවන්ට සිදුවිය හැකි අපහසුතා මඟහරවා ගැනීම සඳහා, අවශ්‍ය මුදල් ආපසු ගැනීම් ඇතුළු බැංකු කටයුතු එම කාලසීමාවට පෙර සැලසුම් කරගන්නා ලෙස බැංකුව සිය ගනුදෙනුකරුවන්ගෙන් ඉල්ලා සිටියි.

කෙසේ වෙතත්, මෙම සංක්‍රාන්ති කාලසීමාව තුළ ගනුදෙනුකරුවන්ට අවශ්‍ය වන විමසීම් සහ සහාය ලබා දීම සඳහා තෝරාගත් DFCC බැංකු ශාඛා කිහිපයක් විවෘතව තැබීමට පියවර ගෙන ඇත.

රුපියල් බිලියන 3.7ක වටිනාකමකින් යුත් මෙම ගනුදෙනුව පිළිබඳව පසුගිය වසරේ නොවැම්බර් මාසයේදී ප්‍රකාශයට පත් කෙරුණු අතර, බැංකුවේ අභ්‍යන්තර අරමුදල් භාවිත කරමින් මෙම අත්පත් කර ගැනීම සිදු කිරීමට නියමිතය.

මෙම ක්‍රියාවලියත් සමඟ ස්ටෑන්ඩර්ඩ් චාර්ටඩ් බැංකුවේ ගනුදෙනුකරුවන්ගේ බැංකු සබඳතාවල හිමිකාරීත්වය ජූලි 31 වනදා සිට DFCC බැංකුව වෙත නිල වශයෙන් පැවරෙනු ඇත.

Standard Chartered Bank to Transfer Retail Operations to DFCC Bank

Standard Chartered Bank has announced plans to transfer its management and retail banking services to DFCC Bank, effective from July 31, 2026. This significant transition is designed to enhance banking operations for customers.

To facilitate a smooth transition, banking services will be temporarily suspended from July 31 to August 2, 2026. During this period, the bank is urging clients to plan ahead for essential banking activities, including any necessary cash withdrawals, to avoid inconveniences.

Despite the temporary suspension, several selected DFCC Bank branches will remain open to assist customers with inquiries and support during the transition period.

The transaction, valued at 3.7 billion rupees, was first announced in November of the previous year. It is planned to be executed using the bank's internal funds.

As part of this transition, the customer banking relationships of Standard Chartered Bank will officially be transferred to DFCC Bank starting July 31, marking a new chapter for both institutions.
