දිට්වා සුළි කුණාටුවෙන් ආපදාවට ලක්වූ යටිතල පහසුකම් නැවත ගොඩනැගීම හා ජන ජීවිත යථාවත් කිරීම සඳහා පරිත්යාගශීලින්ගෙන් ප්රදානයන් ලෙස ඉකුත් වර්ෂයේ (2025) දෙසැම්බර් මස 31 දින වන විට රුපියල් මිලියන 5,656ක මුදලක් ලැබී ඇති බැව් ජාතික විගණන කාර්යාලය මගින් නිකුත්කොට ඇති වාර්තාවක දැක්වෙයි.
භාණ්ඩාගාර නියෝජ්ය ලේකම් නමින් වන බැංකු ගිණුම් යටතේ මෙම මුදල් රැස්කර ඇති බව ද විගණන වාර්තාවේ සඳහන් වෙයි.
දිට්වා සුළි කුණාටුවෙන් ආපදාවට ලක්වූ යටිතල පහසුකම් නැවත ගොඩනැගීම හා ජන ජීවිත යථාවත් කිරීම සඳහා ජනාධිපති ලේකම් කාර්යාලය යටතේ ව්යවස්ථාපිත අරමුදලක් ලෙස (rebuilding srilanka) රී බිල්ඩින් ශ්රී ලංකා නමින් බැංකු ගිණුමක් පවත්වාගෙන යෑමට අමාත්ය මණ්ඩලය මගින් අනුමැතිය ලබා දී තිබුණි.
එහෙත් එවැනි ව්යවස්ථාපිත අරමුදලක් 2026 වර්ෂයේ මැයි මස 20 වැනි දින වන විටත් ස්ථාපිත කර නොතිබූ බව ද විගණනය මගින් අනාවරණය කර ඇත.

Over Rs. 5.6 Billion Allocated for Reconstruction after Ditwella Cyclone
A report from the National Audit Office reveals that by December 31, 2025, a total allocation of Rs. 5.656 billion has been secured through generous donations for the restoration of infrastructure and the revival of lives affected by the Ditwella cyclone.
The Audit report indicates that these funds have been collected under bank accounts designated for the purposes of the Deputy Secretary to the Treasury.
To facilitate the reconstruction efforts following the cyclone, the Cabinet approved the establishment of a fund under the Presidential Secretariat named "Rebuilding Sri Lanka," which is intended to manage the bank account dedicated to these efforts.
However, the audit has disclosed that as of May 20, 2026, such a structured fund had not yet been established.
Additionally, as of December 31 of the previous year, the Treasury provided Rs. 33.087 billion in cash assistance for the rebuilding of infrastructure and the restoration of communities affected by the Ditwella cyclone.
