අමාත්යවරයා සඳහන් කර ඇත්තේ, මෙම ආයෝජකයින්ගෙන් මිල ගණන් සහ සවිස්තරාත්මක ව්යාපෘති වාර්තා ඇතුළත් නිල ආයෝජන යෝජනා කැඳවීමට මේ වන විට කටයුතු සූදානම් කර ඇති බවයි.
ගුවන් තොටුපොළ මෙහෙයුම් කටයුතු, ගුවන් යානා අලුත්වැඩියා කිරීමේ මධ්යස්ථාන, ගුවන් නියමු පුහුණු පාසල් සහ ඒ ආශ්රිත අනෙකුත් වාණිජ කටයුතු සඳහා මෙම ආයෝජන අවස්ථා විවෘත වනු ඇත.
මත්තල ගුවන් තොටුපොළ රජයට බරක් නොවන ආයතනයක් බවට පත් කිරීම ජනාධිපතිවරයාගේ අපේක්ෂාව බවත්, ඒ අනුව විනිවිදභාවයකින් යුත් පොදු ආකෘතියක් යටතේ මෙම ආයෝජන කටයුතු මෙහෙයවන බවත් අමාත්යවරයා වැඩිදුරටත් පවසා තිබේ.
ආරම්භයේ සිටම මෙලෙස අඛණ්ඩව පාඩු ලැබීම හේතුවෙන්, පෞද්ගලික අංශයේ සහභාගීත්වයෙන් එහි මෙහෙයුම් කාර්යක්ෂම කිරීම රජයේ මූලික අරමුණ වී ඇත.
මෙම ආයෝජන යෝජනා අතරින් වඩාත් වාසිදායක සහ ප්රායෝගික යෝජනා තෝරාගෙන කඩිනමින් ක්රියාත්මක කිරීමට අමාත්යාංශය අපේක්ෂා කරයි.
Investment Interest Grows for Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport
In a promising development for the struggling Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport, a total of 19 local and foreign investors have expressed their willingness to engage in various investment activities, according to Dr. Anura Karunatilaka, Minister of Ports, Civil Aviation and Energy.
The minister disclosed that arrangements have been made to invite formal investment proposals from these investors, which will include pricing details and comprehensive project reports.
Investment opportunities are set to open for airport operations, aircraft maintenance centers, aviation training schools, and other related commercial activities.
Dr. Karunatilaka emphasized that the government's goal is to transform the airport into a self-sustaining entity, aligning with President's vision to manage these investments transparently under a public framework.
Since its inception, the airport has faced continuous financial losses, making it imperative for the government to enhance operational efficiency with private sector participation.
The ministry aims to prioritize and swiftly implement the most viable and practical investment proposals among those submitted.
