ශ‍්‍රී ලංකාව තුල වෙබ් අඩවි 24ක් Block කරයි..

නීතිවිරෝධී ලෙස පවත්වාගෙන ගිය අන්තර්ජාල සූදු සහ ඔට්ටු ඇල්ලීමේ වෙබ් අඩවි 24ක් වහාම ක්‍රියාත්මක වන පරිදි අවහිර කිරීමට ශ්‍රී ලංකා විදුලි සංදේශ නියාමන කොමිෂන් සභාව (TRCSL) පියවර ගෙන තිබේ.

ඩිජිටල් ආර්ථික අමාත්‍යාංශය යටතේ පවතින විදුලි සංදේශ නියාමන කොමිෂන් සභාව මෙම පියවර ගෙන ඇත්තේ මුදල්, ක්‍රම සම්පාදන සහ ආර්ථික සංවර්ධන අමාත්‍යාංශය යටතේ ක්‍රියාත්මක වන සූදු ක්‍රීඩා නියාමන අධිකාරිය විසින් කරන ලද  දැනුම්දීමකට අනුවය.

2025 අංක 17 දරන සූදු ක්‍රීඩා නියාමන අධිකාරිය පනතේ 15, 16 සහ 18 වගන්ති ප්‍රකාරව වලංගු බලපත්‍ර ලබා නොගෙන අන්තර්ජාල සූදු සේවාවන් පවත්වාගෙන යාම සහ ප්‍රවර්ධනය කිරීම එම පනතේ 44 වගන්තිය යටතේ දඬුවම් ලැබිය හැකි වරදකි. 

ඒ අනුව, අදාළ නීතිවිරෝධී වෙබ් අඩවි වෙත මෙරට සිට පිවිසීම වැළැක්වීම සඳහා අවශ්‍ය තාක්ෂණික පියවර ගන්නා ලෙස විදුලි සංදේශ නියාමන කොමිෂන් සභාව සියලුම විදුලි සංදේශ සේවා සපයන්නන් වෙත උපදෙස් ලබා දී තිබේ.

මෙරට නීතිමය රාමුවට පටහැනිව ක්‍රියාත්මක වන මෙවැනි අවසර නොලත් අන්තර්ජාල සූදු වේදිකාවල නිරත වීමෙන් හෝ ඒවායේ මුදල් ආයෝජනය කිරීමෙන් වළකින ලෙස ඩිජිටල් ආර්ථික අමාත්‍යාංශය සහ විදුලි සංදේශ නියාමන කොමිෂන් සභාව මහජනතාවගෙන් විශේෂ ඉල්ලීමක් කරයි.

SL Telecom Regulatory Authority Acts to Block 24 Illegal Online Betting Websites

In a decisive move to combat illegal online gambling, the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka (TRCSL) has initiated immediate action to block access to 24 internet-based betting and lottery websites. This intervention follows a notification from the Gaming Regulatory Authority, operating under the Ministry of Finance, Economic Stability, and National Policy.

This crack down is enforced under provisions of the Gaming Regulatory Authority Act No. 17 of 2025, specifically targeting clauses 15, 16, and 18, which prohibit the operation and promotion of online gaming services without a valid license. Violating these regulations could result in penalties outlined in clause 44 of the same legislation.

To facilitate this operation, the TRCSL has directed all telecommunications service providers to implement necessary technical measures to prevent access to the identified illegal websites from within the country.

Moreover, the Ministry of Finance and the TRCSL are urging the public to refrain from participating in or investing money in these unlicensed online gaming platforms, emphasizing the risks involved given the absence of a legal framework overseeing such operations.
