භෞතික පරීක්ෂාවකින් තොරව නිදහස් කරන ලද බව කියන ආන්දෝලනාත්මක බහාළුම් 323ක් සම්බන්ධයෙන් කිසිදු තොරතුරක් හෝ ලේඛනයක් තමන් සතුව නොමැති බව ශ්‍රී ලංකා රේගුව දැනුම් දී තිබේ.

විනිවිද පදනමේ, නීතිඥ නාගානන්ද කොඩිතුවක්කු මහතා විසින් 2016 අංක 12 දරන තොරතුරු දැනගැනීමේ අයිතිවාසිකම පිළිබඳ පනත යටතේ ඉදිරිපත් කරන ලද ඉල්ලීමකට ප්‍රතිචාර දක්වමින් රේගු දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව මේ බව අනාවරණය කර ඇත.

භෞතික පරීක්ෂාවකින් තොරව නිදහස් කළ හෝ මුදාහළ යන ක්‍රමවේදයන් යටතේ රේගුවෙන් පිටව ගිය බහාළුම් ලැයිස්තුවක් නාගානන්ද කොඩිතුවක්කු මහතා විසින් ඉල්ලා තිබුණි.

එම ඉල්ලීම සම්බන්ධයෙන් රේගු භාණ්ඩ පරීක්ෂණ අංශයෙන් කළ විමසීමකදී එම අංශය දැනුම් දී ඇත්තේ, අදාළ ක්‍රමවේදයන් යටතේ පරීක්ෂාවකින් තොරව නිදහස් කරන ලද බහාළුම් පිළිබඳ කිසිදු ලේඛනයක් හෝ තොරතුරක් එම අංශය සතුව නොමැති බවයි.

මෙම තීරණය සම්බන්ධයෙන් සෑහීමකට පත් නොවන්නේ නම් දින 14ක් ඇතුළත අභියාචනයක් ඉදිරිපත් කළ හැකි බව ද එම නිවේදනයේ වැඩිදුරටත් සඳහන් වේ.

Regulatory Body Confirms No Records of Released Beagles Without Physical Examination

The Sri Lanka Customs has confirmed that there are no records or information regarding 323 beagles that were reportedly released without undergoing physical examination. This revelation came in response to a request submitted under the Right to Information Act by Attorney-at-Law Nagananda Kodithuwakku.

Kodithuwakku had sought a list of beagles that were released under procedures that bypassed physical inspection. He pointed out the need for transparency regarding these animals, which have been raised as a significant issue in humane treatment practices.

Upon inquiry from the Customs' Department of Customs, it was disclosed that the division lacks any documentation or information pertaining to the beagles released without physical checks under the established procedures.

The announcement included a note that if anyone is dissatisfied with this decision, they have the option to file an appeal within 14 days. This underscores the importance of accountability within customs regulations, particularly concerning the welfare of animals.
