 කිලිනොච්චිය, පලෙයි රක්ෂිතයේ තහනම් සංවිධානයකට අයත් පුහුණු කඳවුරක් පවතින බවට අසත්‍ය තොරතුරු ප්‍රකාශ කිරීමේ සිද්ධියට අදාළව අත්අඩංගුවට ගත් සැකකරු ලබන මස 2 වැනිදා දක්වා රක්ෂිත බන්ධනාගාරගත කිරීමට කොළඹ කොටුව මහේස්ත්‍රාත් පසන් අමරසේන මහතා ඊයේ (19) නියෝග කළේය.

මෙලෙස රක්ෂිත බන්ධනාගාරගත කරනු ලැබුවේ තමන් ‘අන්තර් මහාද්වීපික මානව හිමිකම් සංවිධානයේ’ විධායක අධ්‍යක්ෂවරයා ලෙස හඳුන්වා දුන් සංගීත් ජයසේකර නමැති අයෙකි.

ත්‍රස්ත විමර්ශන කොට්ඨාසය අධිකරණයට කරුණු දක්වමින් සඳහන් කළේ, සැකකරු විසින් පසුගියදා මාධ්‍ය හමුවක් පවත්වමින් පලෙයි රක්ෂිතය තුළ තහනම් සංවිධානයක පුහුණු කඳවුරක් සහ බෝම්බ නිෂ්පාදනාගාරයක් පවතින බවට කළ ප්‍රකාශය සම්පූර්ණයෙන්ම අසත්‍ය බවයි.

මෙවැනි අසත්‍ය ප්‍රකාශ මගින් මහජන කැලඹීමක් ඇති කිරීම සහ සාමයට බාධා කිරීම යන චෝදනා යටතේ දණ්ඩ නීති සංග්‍රහයේ 120 සහ 485 වගන්ති ප්‍රකාරව මොහු අත්අඩංගුවට ගෙන ඇත.

සැකකරු ව්‍යාජ හැඳුනුම්පත් කිහිපයක් ද භාවිත කර ඇති බව විමර්ශනවලදී අනාවරණය වී තිබේ.

මෙම සිද්ධිය සම්බන්ධයෙන් ත්‍රස්ත විමර්ශන කොට්ඨාසයේ කණ්ඩායමක් කිලිනොච්චි ප්‍රදේශයට ගොස් සිදුකළ විමර්ශනවලදී තහවුරු වී ඇත්තේ අදාළ ප්‍රදේශයේ ද්‍රවිඩ ජාතික ව්‍යාපාරිකයෙකු විසින් ගොවිපොළක් සහ ඇඟලුම් කම්හලක් ඉදිකරමින් පවතින බවයි.

එම ඉදිකිරීම් නීති විරෝධී බැවින් පලෙයි පොලිසිය විසින් ඒ සම්බන්ධයෙන් දැනටමත් අධිකරණයට කරුණු වාර්තා කර නඩු පවරා ඇති බව ද විමර්ශන නිලධාරීහු අධිකරණයට දැනුම් දුන්හ.

Suspect Detained for Spreading False Information about Restricted Area in Kilinochchi

In a significant development, a suspect who allegedly disseminated false information regarding a training camp linked to a prohibited organization within the Palaeyuwana Reserve has been ordered to be detained until November 2 by Colombo Kotuwegoda Magistrate Pasan Amarasekara. This order was issued following an incident that brought to light the suspect's misleading claims.

The individual, identified as Sangitha Jayasekara, who presented himself as the executive director of the 'International Intercontinental Human Rights Organization,' made sensational statements during a recent press conference, claiming the existence of a training camp and a bomb-making facility within the reserve. Authorities have categorically ruled these allegations as entirely false.

The Counter-Terrorism Investigation Division informed the court that such baseless statements could incite public unrest and pose a threat to peace, leading to the suspect's arrest under sections 120 and 485 of the Penal Code.

Investigations have also revealed that the suspect was in possession of multiple fake identification documents. A dedicated team from the Counter-Terrorism Investigation Division conducted an inquiry in the Kilinochchi area, which confirmed the presence of a Tamil businessman who has been illegally constructing a farm and a garment factory in the vicinity.

Due to the illegality of these constructions, the Palaeyuwana Police have already filed relevant details with the court, and cases have been initiated against the parties involved. Additionally, the police chief had previously dismissed the suspect's claims, emphasizing the ongoing investigations into this matter.
