සාගරත් ලොකු ලෙඩක්.. ප‍්‍රශ්ණ කරන්න කැදවයි..

 

පොලිස්පති ප්‍රියන්ත වීරසූරිය මහතා සම්බන්ධයෙන් සිදුකළ ආන්දෝලනාත්මක ප්‍රකාශයක් පාදක කරගනිමින් ශ්‍රී ලංකා පොදුජන පෙරමුණේ ප්‍රධාන ලේකම් සාගර කාරියවසම් මහතා ප්‍රශ්න කිරීම සඳහා කැඳවා තිබේ.

මෙම කැඳවීම සම්බන්ධයෙන් මාධ්‍ය වෙත අදහස් දක්වමින් කාරියවසම් මහතා සඳහන් කළේ, තමන් ප්‍රකාශ නොකළ කරුණු සම්බන්ධයෙන් වැරදි අර්ථකථන ලබාදෙමින් රජය තමන්ව දේශපාලනිකව දඩයම් කිරීමට උත්සාහ කරන බවයි.

 තමන් පවසන දේ විකෘති කර පෙන්වමින් විරුද්ධවාදීන් මර්දනය කිරීමේ වැඩපිළිවෙළක් ක්‍රියාත්මක වන බවත්, එවැනි තර්ජන හමුවේ තමන් පසුබට නොවන බවත් ඔහු අවධාරණය කළේය.

අතීතයේ මෙවැනි දේශපාලන දඩයම්වල නිරත වූ ලෝක නායකයින්ට අත්වූයේ අවාසනාවන්ත ඉරණමක් බව පෙන්වා දුන් ඒ මහතා, වත්මන් ජනාධිපති අනුර කුමාර දිසානායක මහතා ද එවැනිම මාවතක ගමන් කිරීමට උත්සාහ දරන බවට චෝදනා කළේය.

එමෙන්ම, ශානි අබේසේකර මහතා නියෝජ්‍ය පොලිස්පති ධුරයට පත් කිරීම ද මෙම දේශපාලන පළිගැනීම් ක්‍රියාවලියේම කොටසක් බවත්, මෙරට ඉතිහාසයේ කිසිදු රජයක් මෙවැනි අත්තනෝමතික ලෙස කටයුතු කර නොමැති බවත් ඔහු වැඩිදුරටත් පෙන්වා දුන්නේය.

රජයේ මෙම ක්‍රියාකලාපය පිළිබඳව ජනතාව නිසි අවබෝධයකින් පසුවන බවත්, ඉදිරියේදී ජනතාව මෙයට නිසි පිළිතුරු ලබාදෙනු ඇති බවත් සාගර කාරියවසම් මහතා මෙහිදී වැඩිදුරටත් ප්‍රකාශ කළේය.

Opposition Secretary Summoned Over Controversial Remarks Regarding Police Chief

In a developing situation, Sagara Kariyawasam, the General Secretary of the Sri Lanka People's Front, has been summoned for questioning in relation to provocative statements he made about Police Chief Priyantha Weerasuriya.

Commenting on the summons, Kariyawasam accused the government of attempting to politically persecute him by misinterpreting remarks he never made. He emphasized that there is a deliberate agenda to distort his statements and suppress dissenting voices.

He asserted that he would not back down in the face of such threats, highlighting a systematic approach to target opposition figures. Drawing attention to the fate of world leaders who have faced similar political repression in the past, he critiqued the current President, Anura Kumara Dissanayake, suggesting that he is following a perilous path.

Furthermore, Kariyawasam pointed to the recent appointment of Deputy Inspector General Shani Abeysekera as part of this broader political vendetta, noting that no previous administration had taken such arbitrary actions. He stressed that such moves reflect a worrying trend in Sri Lankan politics.

He concluded by asserting that the public is beginning to grasp the reality behind these government actions, hinting that they would respond appropriately in the future.
