Gun Violence Claims Life of Notorious Criminal Associate in Colombo

A shooting incident in Colombo's Maligawatta, specifically on Sangharaja Mawatha, has resulted in the death of an individual who was admitted to the hospital following the attack, according to police reports.

The victim has been identified as the father of 'Kanji Pani Imraan', a well-known figure in organized crime.

Initial investigations reveal that the deceased was a businessman running a building materials supply shop in the area.

The police disclosed that the shooting occurred in close proximity to his commercial establishment on Sangharaja Mawatha.

Despite immediate efforts to transport him to the hospital after sustaining severe injuries, he succumbed to his wounds while undergoing treatment.

The Maligawatta police have commenced an extensive investigation into the incident, but as of now, no specific information regarding the motive for the shooting or potential suspects has been uncovered.

Multiple specialized police teams have been deployed to apprehend those responsible for the crime.
