 මෙරට ගොවි ජනතාව වත්මන් යල කන්නයේදී මුහුණ දෙන ගැටලු අවම කරමින්, එළඹෙන මහා කන්නය වන විට ඔවුන්ට ස්ථිර විසඳුම් ලබා දීමට රජය කටයුතු කරන බව කෘෂිකර්ම සහ පශු සම්පත් නියෝජ්‍ය අමාත්‍ය නාමල් කරුණාරත්න මහතා පවසයි.

ගොවීන්ගේ අස්වැන්න ඉහළ ගොස් ඇති බව පෙන්වා දුන් නියෝජ්‍ය අමාත්‍යවරයා, ඊට සාපේක්ෂව රජය විසින් වී මිලදී ගැනීමේ කටයුතු ද විධිමත් කර ඇති බව සඳහන් කළේය.

ඒ අනුව මේ වන විට රජය විසින් වී කිලෝවක් රුපියල් 120, 130 සහ 140 වැනි විවිධ මිල ගණන් යටතේ මිලදී ගනිමින් පවතින බව ඔහු වැඩිදුරටත් පැවසීය.

යල කන්නයේදී ගොවීන් මුහුණ දුන් යම් යම් දුෂ්කරතා පිළිබඳව රජය අවධානය යොමු කර ඇති බවත්, එම ගැටලු මහා කන්නය ආරම්භ වීමට පෙර විසඳා ගොවි ජනතාවට සහන සැලසීම රජයේ අරමුණ බවත් නාමල් කරුණාරත්න මහතා මෙහිදී අවධාරණය කළේය.

Government Aims to Address Farmers' Challenges Ahead of Upcoming Maha Season

The government is taking steps to minimize the difficulties faced by farmers during the current Yala season and to provide them with sustainable solutions as the Maha season approaches, stated the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Livestock, Namal Karunaratna.

In a recent statement to the media, Karunaratna highlighted the increase in crop yields for farmers and noted the government's efforts to enhance paddy purchasing processes accordingly.

Currently, the government is buying paddy at varying prices, including Rs. 120, 130, and 140 per kilogram, as part of these initiatives, he elaborated.

He also mentioned that the government is aware of certain challenges faced by farmers during the Yala season and emphasized that resolving these issues before the commencement of the Maha season is a priority aimed at providing relief to the agricultural community.
