ක‍්‍රීඩා ඇමති හා පිරිසක් අතර උණුසුම් තත්වයක්..

 නාවලපිටිය ජයතිලක ක්‍රීඩා සංකීර්ණය ක්‍රීඩා අමාත්‍යංශයට පවරා ගෙන එහි ඉදිරි සංවර්ධන කටයුතු සිදු කරන බව ක්‍රීඩා අමාත්‍ය සුනිල් කුමාර ගමගේ මහතා පැවසීය.

අමාත්‍යවරයා ඒ බැව් පැවසූයේ, නාවලපිටිය ජයතිලක ක්‍රීඩා සංකීර්ණය ක්‍රිඩා අමාත්‍යාංශයට පවරා ගැනිමට පෙර එහි නිරික්ෂණ චාරිකාවකට එක් වී මාධ්‍යට අදහස් දැක්වීමේදීය.

මහනුවර දිස්ත්‍රික් පාර්ලිමේන්තු මන්ත්‍රිණී තුෂාරී ජයසිංහ, නාවලපිටිය නගර සභාවේ සභාපති අමල් ප්‍රියංකර යන මහත්ම මහත්මීන්ගේ ආරාධනාවක් අනුව ජයතිලක ක්‍රීඩාංගණයේ නිරික්ෂන චාරිකාවකට එක් වූ අමාත්‍යවරයා වැඩි දුරටත් කියා සිටියේ, මෙරටට දක්ෂ ක්‍රීඩකයින් බිහි කිරිමට ක්‍රීඩාවට අවශය භෞතික සම්පත් වැඩි දියුණු කල යුතු බවයි. 

තවද ක්‍රීඩාව යනු ලාභ ලබන ව්‍යාපාරයක් නොව අනාගත ආයෝජනයක් බවත්, ක්‍රීඩාවේ උන්නතිය වෙනුවෙන් අමාත්‍යාංශයට මෙය භාරදීමට නගර සභාව ප්‍රාදේශීය ලේකම් කාර්යාලය කැමැත්ත පළ කිරීමත් සමග අමාත්‍යාංශයට මෙම ක්‍රීඩාංගණය පවරාගෙන සංවර්ධන කටයුතු සිදු කරන බවත්, එසේම ඉතා ඉක්මනින් සිදු කළ යුතු අවශ්‍යතා සපිරීම සඳහා මිලියන 4කට ආසන්න මුදලක් වෙන් කිරීමත් මෙහිදී සිදු කෙරිණ.

සාකච්ඡාවේදී ක්‍රීඩා අමාත්‍යවරයා කියා සිටියේ, අමාත්‍යාංශයට පවරා ගැනීමෙන් අනතුරුව ස්වේච්ඡාවෙන් පඩි රහිතව සේවය කිරීමට ලැදි පිරිසක් යොදාගෙන ජනතාවට හිතවාදී වන ආකාරයේ ක්‍රීඩාංගන බවට නාවලපිටිය ජයතිලක ක්‍රීඩාංගණය පත් කරන බවයි.

ජගත් කෙළිබිම අපේ ගම රටට යන ව්‍යාපෘතිය යටතේ 2012 දී ප්‍රතිසංස්කරණය කර ජනතා අයිතියට පත් කරන ලද ජයතිලක ක්‍රීඩා සංකීර්ණය මේ වන විට නඩත්තු කිරීම නාවලපිටිය නගර සභාවට අපහසු කාර්යක් වි ඇති බවයි නගර සභාවේ සභාපතිවරයා කියා සිටියේ.

සාකච්ඡාවෙන් අනතුරුව නිරීක්ෂණය සඳහා ක්‍රීඩා අමාත්‍යතුමන් පිටවීමේදී  නාවලපිටිය කදිරේෂන් දෙමල විද්‍යාලයේ ආදි සිසුන් විසින් විද්‍යාලීය ක්‍රීඩා අරමුදලට ආධාර ලබා  ගැනීමට සංවිධානය කළ ක්‍රිකට් තරගාවලිය සහ සංගීත ප්‍රසංගය සඳහා ශබ්ද විකාශන යන්ත්‍ර භාවිතා කිරීමට ඉඩ ලබා නොදුන් බවටත්, ඒ සඳහා සහනයක් ලබා දෙන ලෙසටත් ක්‍රීඩා අමාත්‍යවරයාගෙන් එම පිරිස ඉල්ලා සිටියා.

එසේම තම විද්‍යාලයට ජාතික ජන බලවේග ආණ්ඩුවෙන් දේශපාලන පළිගැනීම් සිදු කරන බවත්, මහනුවර ශ්‍රී දළදා මාලිගාවේ පෙරහැර පවතිද්දීත් මහනුවර සිට ගම්පොළ දක්වා සැණකිලි සහ සංගීත ප්‍රසංග 24 ක් අවසර ලබාදී පසුව ශබ්ද විකාශන යන්ත්‍ර භාවිතා කිරිමට අවසර ලබා නොදුන් බව එම විද්‍යාලයේ ආදී සිසු සංගමයේ ලේකම් නාවලපිටිය නගර සභාවේ උප සභාපති කේ.සුරේෂ්වරන් මහතා අමාත්‍යවරයා හමුවේ වැඩිදුරටත් ප්‍රකාශ කර සිටියහ.

ශ්‍රී ලංකා පොලිසිය විසින් ලබා නොදුන් අවසරයක් ලබාදීමට හැකියාවක් තමන්ට නොපවතින බවත් ප්‍රාදේශීය නියෝජිතයන් හමුවේ ගැටලු විසඳාගන්න ලෙස සුහදව ප්‍රකාශ කරමින් අමාත්‍යවරයා එම ස්ථානයෙන් නිරීක්ෂණය සඳහා පිටත්ව විය. 

ක්‍රීඩාංගණයේ නිරීක්‍ෂණ චාරිකාවෙන්අනතුරුව නැවත පැමිණීමේදී කදිරේෂන් විද්‍යාලයේ ආදි සිසුන් පිරිස නැවත අමාත්‍යවරයාට බාධා කරමින් තමන්ගේ සංගීත ප්‍රසංගය පැවැත්වීමට අවසර ලබා දෙන ලෙස ඉල්ලා සිටි අතර, එම අවස්ථාවේදී උණුසුම් තත්ත්වයක් ඇති විය.

Minister Announces Development Initiatives for Jayatilake Sports Complex in Nawalpitiya

In a significant move for local sports development, Minister of Sports, Sunil Kumara Damilgamage, confirmed that the Jayatilake Sports Complex in Nawalpitiya will be formally handed over to the Ministry of Sports for upcoming enhancements. His announcement came during a media briefing following an inspection visit to the complex.

The minister was accompanied by District Parliament Member Tushari Jayasinghe and Chairman of the Nawalpitiya Urban Council, Amal Priyankara, who invited him to observe the facilities. Damilgamage underscored the necessity of improving physical resources in order to cultivate skilled athletes in the country.

Furthermore, he emphasized that sports should be viewed as an investment in the future rather than merely a profitable enterprise. He revealed that the Urban Council expressed their willingness to transfer the management of the sports facility to the ministry, which signifies a commitment to its development. An allocation of approximately 4 million rupees has also been set aside to address immediate needs.

Following the handover, the minister assured that efforts would be made to transform the Jayatilake Sports Complex into a friendly and accessible venue for the community, staffed by volunteers committed to providing unbiased service.

Originally renovated in 2012 under the "Our Village, Our Country" project and returned to public ownership, the maintenance of the Jayatilake Sports Complex has become increasingly challenging for the Nawalpitiya Urban Council, according to its chairman.

During the visit, students from the Kadirgama Tamil School raised concerns about not being permitted to use sound equipment for a cricket tournament and musical event organized to support their school's sports fund. The group appealed to the sports minister for assistance in this matter.

Additionally, representatives from the school highlighted previous instances of political oppression by the national government, particularly noting restrictions during a procession at the Sri Dalada Maligawa in Kandy where 24 performances were allowed, but sound systems were later prohibited.

In response to these grievances, the minister expressed his inability to alter permissions granted by the police and encouraged local representatives to address their issues constructively. As he departed the inspection, tensions flared when Kadirgama students attempted to block his path, requesting clearance to hold their musical performance, highlighting ongoing challenges in managing local sports events.
