 හිටපු බුද්ධි ප්‍රධානී සුරේෂ් සලේ මහතාගේ සැලසුම් සහගත මෙහෙයුමක් මත සහ තවත් තිදෙනකුගේ වක්‍රාකාර දැනුවත්භාවය සහිතව පාස්කු ඉරිදා මරාගෙන මැරෙන ත්‍රස්ත ප්‍රහාර මාලාව එල්ල වී ඇති බවට අපරාධ පරීක්ෂණ දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව (CID) විසින් කොළඹ කොටුව මහේස්ත්‍රාත් පසන් අමරසේන මහතා හමුවේ කරුණු අනාවරණය කර තිබේ.

ත්‍රස්තවාදය වැළැක්වීමේ පනත යටතේ රඳවාගෙන ප්‍රශ්න කරනු ලබන හිටපු බුද්ධි ප්‍රධානී සුරේෂ් සලේ, හිටපු පොලිස්පති සී.ඩී. වික්‍රමරත්න, හිටපු නියෝජ්‍ය පොලිස්පතිවරුන් වන ප්‍රසාද් රණසිංහ සහ නිශාන්ත සොයිසා යන මහත්වරුන්ගෙන් මෙන්ම අසාද් මවුලානා නමැත්තාගෙන් ලබාගත් ප්‍රකාශ පදනම් කරගනිමින් මෙම තොරතුරු හෙළි වී ඇති බව රහස් පොලිසිය අධිකරණය හමුවේ පෙන්වා දී ඇත.

2019 වසරේ සිදුවූ පාස්කු ඉරිදා බෝම්බ ප්‍රහාර සම්බන්ධයෙන් 2024 ඔක්තෝබර් 11 වනදා සිරිල් ගාමිණී පියතුමන් ඉදිරිපත් කළ පැමිණිල්ලකට අනුව, අපරාධයේ පෙර සූදානම සහ පශ්චාත් විපරම පිළිබඳව දීර්ඝ විමර්ශනයක් අරඹා ඇති බව අපරාධ පරීක්ෂණ දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව අධිකරණයට දැන්වීය. 

ඊට අදාළව යාසික් බාවා නමැත්තා සහ පොලිස් නිලධාරීන් රක්ෂිත බන්ධනාගාරගත කර ඇති අතර, හිටපු බුද්ධි අධ්‍යක්ෂ සුරේෂ් සලේ මහතා 2026 පෙබරවාරි 28 වනදා අත්අඩංගුවට ගෙන රැඳවුම් භාරයේ ප්‍රශ්න කරනු ලබයි.

පසුගිය ජූනි 03 වනදා හිටපු ජනාධිපතිවරයා ඇතුළු හමුදා බුද්ධි නිලධාරීන් කිහිපදෙනකුට එරෙහිව විදෙස් ගමන් තහනම් ලබාගත් නමුත්, සුරේෂ් සලේ මහතා අසනීප තත්ත්වයෙන් මාස හතරක කාලයක් රෝහල්ගතව සිටීම නිසා විමර්ශන ප්‍රමාද වූ බවත්, ඔක්තෝබර් 06 වනදා ඔහු යළි අපරාධ පරීක්ෂණ දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව වෙත රැගෙන ඒමෙන් පසු පරීක්ෂණ කඩිනම් කළ බවත් රහස් පොලිසිය කියා සිටියේය. 

තවද 2020 වසරේදී සුරේෂ් සලේ සහ අසාද් මවුලානා යන අය අඟුණකොළපැලැස්ස ප්‍රදේශයේ හෝටලයක නැවතී සිටි බවට හෙළිව ඇති අතර, ඊට අදාළ බිල්පත් වාර්තා කැඳවීමටද පියවර ගෙන ඇත. 

මෙම නඩුවට අදාළව රක්ෂිත බන්ධනාගාරගත කර සිටින සෙසු සැකකරුවන් දෙදෙනා යළි රක්ෂිත බන්ධනාගාරගත කෙරිණි.

Revelations Emerge in Ongoing Investigation of 2019 Easter Sunday Attacks

New details have surfaced regarding the 2019 Easter Sunday terrorist attacks, implicating former intelligence chief Suresh Saleh and three others based on investigative disclosures presented before Colombo's Magistrate Pasan Amarasekera. The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) revealed that the coordinated attacks, which resulted in numerous fatalities, were orchestrated with the prior knowledge of key individuals.

Saleh, alongside former Police Chief C.D. Wickramarathna, former Deputy Inspectors General Prasad Ranasinghe and Nishantha Soisa, as well as statements from Asad Maulana, have formed the basis for these revelations disclosed by the CID in court.

According to a complaint lodged on October 11, 2024, by Cyril Gamini, the CID has initiated an extensive investigation into the preparations and subsequent ramifications of the attacks that occurred on Easter Sunday in 2019.

In connection with this, Yasik Bawa and several police officials have been remanded, while Saleh is scheduled for questioning on February 28, 2026, after being taken into custody.

Previously, a travel ban was enforced against several military intelligence officials, including a former president, on June 3. However, investigations into Suresh Saleh were delayed due to his hospitalization for four months. The CID indicated that following his return to their custody on October 6, the inquiry was expedited.

Additionally, it has come to light that Saleh and Asad Maulana stayed at a hotel in the Agunakolapelassa area in 2020, prompting steps to obtain relevant billing records.

Two other suspects remanded in connection with the case have recently been placed back in custody.
