 "අයිස්" (ICE) වර්ගයේ මත්ද්‍රව්‍ය බවට සැක කෙරෙන මත්ද්‍රව්‍ය තොගයක් කොළඹ වරායේ තිබූ බහාලුමක් තුළ තිබී සොයා ගැනීමට පොලිසිය සමත්ව තිබේ.

පොලිසිය පවසන පරිදි, මෙම මත්ද්‍රව්‍ය තොගය අදාළ බහාලුම තුළ තිබූ තුවා ඇසුරුම් තුළ ඉතා සූක්ෂ්ම ලෙස සඟවා තිබියදී සොයාගෙන ඇත. 

සිදු කරන ලද මූලික විමර්ශනවලදී අනාවරණය වී ඇත්තේ මෙම බහාලුම පකිස්ථානයේ සිට මෙරටට ගෙන්වා ඇති බවයි.

සිද්ධිය සම්බන්ධයෙන් දෙමටගොඩ ප්‍රදේශයේ පදිංචි ව්‍යාපාරිකයෙකු අත්අඩංගුවට ගෙන ඇත.

එහි තිබී සොයාගත් අයිස් මත්ද්‍රව්‍ය ප්‍රමාණය කිලෝග්‍රෑම් 460ක් බව පොලීසිය සඳහන් කළේය.

420 Kilograms of Suspected ICE Seized at Colombo Port

In a significant drug bust, police have uncovered a large quantity of substances suspected to be "ICE" (methamphetamine) hidden inside a shipping container at the Colombo port. The operation identified the illicit cargo concealed within decorative packaging designed to evade detection.

Preliminary investigations reveal that the container was shipped to Sri Lanka from Pakistan, raising concerns about international drug trafficking routes. Authorities are swiftly following leads to trace the origins and distribution network of the seized drugs.

A businessman from the Dematagoda area has been taken into custody in connection with this operation, adding to the scope of the ongoing investigation. Police confirmed that a total of 420 kilograms of the suspected ICE was found within the container.
