හමුදාව යොදාගෙන ඇල්ලේ කුණු කන්ද මාස දෙකකින් ඉවත් කරනවා..

 ඇල්ල ප්‍රදේශයේ සංචාරක කර්මාන්තය තවදුරටත් නංවාලීමේ අරමුණින් මාර්ග ඇතුළු යටිතල පහසුකම් සංවර්ධනය සඳහා රුපියල් මිලියන 1000කට අධික වටිනාකමකින් යුත් දැවැන්ත සංවර්ධන ව්‍යාපෘති රැසක් මේ වන විට ක්‍රියාත්මක බව සංචාරක නියෝජ්‍ය අමාත්‍ය රුවන් රණසිංහ මහතා පැවසීය.

වසර 26ක පමණ කාලයක් අලුත්වැඩියා නොකර පැවති, සංචාරකයින් විශාල පිරිසක් භාවිත කරන ඇල්ල Waterfall Road මාර්ගය කොන්ක්‍රීට් යොදා සංවර්ධනය කර ජනතා අයිතියට පත්කර තිබේ.

මීට අමතරව රුපියල් මිලියන 500ක පිරිවැයකින් දුන්හිඳ–බල්ලකැටුව–දෙමෝදර මාර්ගයත්, රුපියල් මිලියන 370ක පිරිවැයකින් ඇල්ල–පස්සර මාර්ගයත් සංවර්ධනය කෙරෙමින් පවතී. එමෙන්ම කන්දෙකුඹුර මාර්ගය රුපියල් මිලියන 270කින්ද, පියරපන්දොව මාර්ගය රුපියල් මිලියන 59කින්ද සංවර්ධනය කිරීමේ කටයුතු මේ වන විට වේගයෙන් සිදුකෙරේ.

තවද යටිතල පහසුකම් සංවර්ධනයට අමතරව ඇල්ල නගරයේ සංචාරක ආකර්ෂණය වැඩිදියුණු කිරීම සඳහා නව සංවර්ධන සැලසුම් කිහිපයක්ද ක්‍රියාත්මක කර තිබේ.

ඒ අනුව ඇල්ල ප්‍රවේශය සඳහා නව උමං මාර්ගයක් ඉදිකිරීමට සැලසුම් කර ඇති අතර, නගර මධ්‍යයේ පිහිටි අක්කර 2.5ක RDA ඉඩම නාගරික සංවර්ධන අධිකාරියේ රුපියල් මිලියන 50ක මූලික ප්‍රතිපාදන යටතේ නවීන සංචාරක සංකීර්ණයක්, වෙළෙඳ මධ්‍යස්ථානයක් සහ ප්‍රදර්ශනාගාර ඇතුළත් පරිශ්‍රයක් ලෙස සංවර්ධනය කිරීමට නියමිතය.

ඇල්ල නගරයේ පවතින ප්‍රධාන ගැටලුවක් වන කසළ කන්ද ඉදිරි මාස එකත් දෙකත් අතර කාලය තුළ සම්පූර්ණයෙන් ඉවත් කර එම භූමිය අලංකාර කිරීමට සැලසුම් කර තිබේ. ඒ සඳහා ප්‍රාදේශීය සභාව සහ හමුදා සහාය ලබාගැනීමටද කටයුතු යොදා ඇත.

මේ වෙනුවෙන් වැල්ලවාය ආනපල්ලම ප්‍රදේශයේ රුපියල් මිලියන 10ක පිරිවැයකින් නව ඩම්ප් යාර්ඩ් එකක් ඉදිකිරීමටත්, කසළ ප්‍රවාහනය සඳහා තවත් රුපියල් මිලියන 10ක් වෙන් කිරීමටත් පියවර ගෙන තිබේ.

නියෝජ්‍ය අමාත්‍යවරයා මේ බව ප්‍රකාශ කළේ ඇල්ල Waterfall Road මාර්ගය ජනතා අයිතියට පත්කිරීමේ අවස්ථාවට එක්වෙමිනි.

Major Infrastructure Developments Underway in Ella to Boost Tourism

In an ambitious move to enhance the tourism industry in the Ella region, a series of expansive development projects valued at over one billion rupees are currently underway. This announcement was made by the Deputy Minister of Tourism, Ruwan Ranasinghe, highlighting the government's commitment to upgrading infrastructure.

The iconic Ella Waterfall Road, which had not seen any renovations for approximately 26 years and has been a crucial route for countless tourists, has now been concretely developed and returned to public ownership.

In addition, significant upgrades are being made to two major roads: the Duhindhi–Ballakatuwa–Demodara road is undergoing improvements at a cost of 500 million rupees, while the Ella–Passara road is also being developed at a cost of 370 million rupees. Further enhancements are in progress for the Kande Kumbura road with an investment of 270 million rupees, and the Piyarepanthodawa road, which is currently being improved with a budget of 59 million rupees.

Beyond basic infrastructure, several new development plans have been initiated to further increase tourism attractions within the Ella municipality.

Plans have been drawn up for a new access road into Ella, and a 2.5-acre plot owned by the RDA in the city center is set to be transformed into a modern tourist complex, complete with a commercial center and exhibition spaces, under an initial budget of 50 million rupees from the Urban Development Authority.

Addressing a key issue in Ella, plans are also in place to completely remove the problematic garbage hill within the next one to two months, with efforts to beautify the area in collaboration with the local council and military support.

To facilitate this, a new dumping yard will be constructed in the Wellawaya Anapallama area at a cost of 10 million rupees, alongside an additional budget of 10 million rupees allocated for waste transportation.

This information was disclosed by the Deputy Minister during a ceremonial event marking the return of the Ella Waterfall Road to public use.
