පුද්ගලික බස් චණ්ඩින් ලංගම බසයට පැන ගහන්න හදයි..

 හැටන් සිට හැටන් වැලිඔය දක්වා ධාවනය වන ලංගම බස් රථයට ගොඩ වූ පිරිසක් එම බස් රථයේ රියදුරු සහ කොන්දොස්තරට බැන තර්ජනය කර පහර දීමට තැත් කිරිමත් සමග බස් රථයේ රියදුරා බස් රථයේ සිටි මගීන් සමගම බස් රථය හැටන් පොලිසිය වෙත රැගෙන ගොස් (16) දින පස්වරුවේ පැමිණිල්ලක් කර ඇති බව හැටන් ලංගම ඩිපෝවේ කළමණාකාර පාලිත වීරසූරය මහතා පැවසිය.

පස්වරු 5:15ට පමණ බස් රථය වැලිඔය දක්වා ධාවනය කිරිමට හැටන් බස් නැවතුම්පොළේ ගාල් කර තිබියදී එම බස් රථයට ගොඩ වූ එම මාර්ගයේම ධාවනය කරවන පෞද්ගලික බස් රථ කිහිපයක රියදුරු සහ කොන්දොස්තරවරුන් නැග බස් රථය ධාවනය කිරිමේ වේලාවක් සම්බන්ධයෙන් තම ඩිපොවේ රියදුරුට සහ කොන්දොස්තරවරයාට බැන තර්ජනය කර ඇති බවයි ඩිපෝ කළමණාකාරවරයා කියා සිටියේ.

ඊට පෙර (15) දිනද එම මාර්ගයේම ධාවනය වන තම ඩිපෝවට අයත් තවත් බස් රථයක රියදුරුට බැන වැද කොන්දොස්තරවරාට පහර දීමක් සම්බන්ධයෙන්ද එම මාර්ගයේ ධාවනය වන පෞද්ගලික බස් රථයක රියදුරුට සහ කොන්දොස්තරවරයාට එරෙහිව එම බස් බස් රථයේ රියදුරු සහ කොන්දොස්තරවරයා විසින් පැමිණිල්ලක් සිදු කර ඇත.

Threats Erupt on Bus Journey Amidst Rising Tensions in Hatton

A recent incident has sparked concerns in Hatton, where a group of passengers boarded a mobile bus en route to Weli Oya and reportedly directed threats towards the driver and conductor. The situation escalated as the passengers attempted to intimidate the crew, prompting the driver to steer the bus directly to the Hatton police station with the passengers still aboard.

This alarming event unfolded around 5:15 PM as the bus was parked at the Hatton bus stand, preparing to head to Weli Oya. According to Palitha Weerasuriya, the supervisor at the Hatton depot, tensions rose when several private bus drivers and conductors on the same route confronted the bus crew about their travel schedules, resulting in threats issued against them.

In a similar occurrence earlier on the 15th, another driver from a bus affiliated with the same depot had also faced harassment from private bus operators along the same route, leading to another formal complaint lodged by the affected bus crew.

These repeated confrontations pose significant concerns for public safety and the operation of transport services in the area, highlighting the pressing need for improved measures to address such conflicts.
