මහින්ද පගා ගත්ත චෙක් අංක කෝ...

වත්මන් රජය බලයට පත්වීමට පෙර සිදුකළ ප්‍රකාශ සහ පොරොන්දු කිසිවක් ඉටු කිරීමට මේ වන තෙක් අපොහොසත් වී ඇති බව හිටපු අමාත්‍ය ජොන්ස්ටන් ප්‍රනාන්දු මහතා පවසයි.

ජන හමුවක් අමතමින් ඔහු මේ බව ප්‍රකාශ කළේය.

මැතිවරණ සමයේදී රජයේ ප්‍රධානීන් විසින් මහින්ද රාජපක්ෂ මහතා ලබාගත් බව කියන අල්ලස් චෙක්පත්වල අංක සහ ලිපිගොනු 450ක් පිළිබඳව කළ ප්‍රකාශ දැන් අමතක වී ඇති බව ඔහු පෙන්වා දෙයි.

"මහින්ද රාජපක්ෂ මහතා ගත්තා කියපු චෙක්පත් අංක දන්නවා කිව්වා, ගණන් දන්නවා කිව්වා, හෝටල් ටික දන්නවා කිව්වා. දැන් අවුරුදු දෙකක් වෙන්න එනවා, කෝ ඒවට වෙච්ච දෙයක් නැහැ," යැයි ඔහු පැවසීය.

ආර්ථික කරුණු සම්බන්ධයෙන් අදහස් දක්වමින් හිටපු අමාත්‍යවරයා කියා සිටියේ, එක පෑන් පහරින් සහල් මිල පාලනය කරන බව පැවසුවද අද වන විට සහල් මිල රුපියල් 10කින් පමණ ඉහළ ගොස් ඇති බවයි.

එසේම වී නිෂ්පාදනය පිළිබඳව පුරසාරම් දෙඩූ රජය, අද වන විට සහල් ටොන් ලක්ෂ ගණනින් පිටරටින් ආනයනය කිරීමට පෙළඹී ඇති බව ද ඔහු විවේචනය කළේය.

රජරට සහ පොළොන්නරුව ප්‍රදේශවල ගොවීන්ට සිය වී අස්වැන්න සඳහා සාධාරණ මිලක් නොලැබෙන බවත්, වී කිලෝවක් රුපියල් 80ක් වැනි අඩු මුදලකට අලෙවි කිරීමට සිදුව ඇති බවත් ඔහු සඳහන් කළේය.

ගොවීන්ගේ ඡන්දයෙන් බලයට පැමිණි පාලකයන් අද වන විට ගොවීන් කසිප්පුකාරයන් ලෙස හඳුන්වමින් ඔවුන්ට නිග්‍රහ කරන බවට ද ජොන්ස්ටන් ප්‍රනාන්දු මහතා චෝදනා කළේය.

පාර්ලිමේන්තුවට පත් වූ නව මන්ත්‍රීවරුන් පිළිබඳව ද සිය අප්‍රසාදය පළ කළ හිටපු අමාත්‍යවරයා, ඔවුන් ජනතාවගේ බුද්ධියට නිගා කරමින් කටයුතු කරන බවත්, රජය පවසන මල් පැළ වෙනුවට පාර්ලිමේන්තුවට පැමිණ ඇත්තේ පාපිසි කෑලි වැනි පිරිසක් බවත් වැඩිදුරටත් ප්‍රකාශ කළේය.

Former Minister Johnston Fernando Criticizes Current Government's Unfulfilled Promises

Johnston Fernando, a former minister, has expressed strong concerns regarding the current government's failure to fulfill statements and commitments made prior to taking office. Addressing a public gathering, he highlighted the disconnect between promises and actions taken in governance.

He pointed out that the allegations involving 450 bribery cheques associated with Mahinda Rajapaksa, allegedly received during the election period, have seemingly faded from public and media attention. "We were told about the cheque numbers and amounts, even the hotels involved. Yet, it has been almost two years, and nothing has progressed on that front," he stated.

Commenting on economic issues, he noted that although the government had claimed to manage rice prices effectively, current rates have surged by about Rs. 10 per kilogram. Furthermore, he criticized the government’s approach to rice production, accusing it of leaning heavily on imports, which has led to a significant inflow of rice from abroad.

Fernando lamented the lack of fair prices for local farmers in regions like Rajarata and Polonnaruwa, stating that they are forced to sell rice at a meager Rs. 80 per kilogram. He argued that politicians who rose to power on the backs of these farmers now refer to them disparagingly, branding them as mere laborers.

He also expressed disappointment with newly elected members of parliament, suggesting they are operating contrary to public interest. According to Fernando, instead of bringing positivity to the parliament, they seem to be more akin to unproductive elements similar to 'scraps of leftovers' rather than the vibrant flowers the government claims they represent.
