 පාර්ලිමේන්තු මන්ත්‍රී නාමල් රාජපක්ෂ මහතා (21) කොළඹ පිහිටි මූල්‍ය අපරාධ විමර්ශන කොට්ඨාසය (FCID) වෙත පැමිණ පැය හයක පමණ කාලයක ප්‍රකාශයක් ලබා දී ඇත.

ඒ සිදු කරමින් ඇති විමර්ෂණයකට අදාලය ඔහුගෙන් ප්‍රකාශයක් ලබාගැනීම සඳහා කරන ලද කැඳවීමකට අනුවය.

මූල්‍ය අපරාධ විමර්ශන කොට්ඨාසය හමුවේ පෙනී සිටීමෙන් අනතුරුව මාධ්‍ය වෙත අදහස් දැක්වූ මන්ත්‍රීවරයා, තමන්ට එරෙහිව එල්ල වන දේපළ චෝදනා සම්බන්ධයෙන් අදහස් පළ කළේය.

පසුගිය ජනාධිපතිවරණ සමයේදී ද මෙරට මෙන්ම විදේශයන්හි පිහිටි විවිධ සුඛෝපභෝගී හෝටල් තමන් සතු බවට අසත්‍ය ප්‍රචාර පැතිර ගිය බව ඔහු මෙහිදී සිහිපත් කළේය.

"එදා ඩුබායි මැරියට් හෝටලය, වැලිගම හෝටලය මගේ කිව්වා. අදත් යම් මහත්මයෙකුගේ හෝටලයක් සහ කොළඹ 07 පිහිටි නිවසක් මගේ කියලා කියනවා. ඇත්තටම ඒවා මගේ නම්, නවාතැන් පහසුකම් ගැටලු පවතින සෞන්දර්ය විශ්වවිද්‍යාලයේ දරුවන්ට ඒවා ලබාදෙන්න පුළුවන්," යැයි මන්ත්‍රීවරයා වැඩිදුරටත් සඳහන් කළේය.

මන්ත්‍රීවරයාගෙන් ප්‍රකාශයක් සටහන් කරගැනීම සඳහා මෙම කැඳවීම සිදුකර තිබූ අතර, ඒ සඳහා පෙනී සිටීමෙන් අනතුරුව ඔහු එම පරිශ්‍රයෙන් පිටව ගියේය.

MP Namal Rajapaksa Appears Before Financial Crimes Investigation Division

Member of Parliament Namal Rajapaksa arrived at the Financial Crimes Investigation Division (FCID) in Colombo today, where he spent approximately six hours providing a statement. His summons was in connection with an ongoing investigation into alleged financial misconduct.

After leaving the FCID, he addressed the media regarding the accusations leveled against him concerning his assets. He recalled that similar claims had circulated during the last presidential election, suggesting he owned various luxurious hotels both in Sri Lanka and abroad.

"During that time, it was alleged that I owned hotels such as the Marriott in Dubai and the Waligama Hotel. Today, they are claiming I have a hotel belonging to a notable individual and a residence located in Colombo 07. The truth is, if those properties were indeed mine, I could provide accommodation facilities to students facing issues at the University of Aesthetics," he stated.

This summoning for his statement was noted as an essential part of the investigative process, and after his appearance at the FCID, he exited the premises.
