 ජපානයේ පැවැත්වෙන ආසියානු ක්‍රීඩා උළෙලේ හෙල්ල විසිකිරීමේ අවසන් ඉසව්වෙන් මීටර් 88.55 ක දුරක් වාර්තා කරමින් ප්‍රථම ස්ථානය දිනා ගැනීමට ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ රුමේෂ් තරංග අද (28) සමත් විය.

ආසියාවේ ප්‍රබලතම මලල ක්‍රීඩකයන් රැසක් තරග වැදුණු මෙම තියුණු ඉසව්ව සඳහා මෙරට වේලාවෙන් අද පස්වරු 4.45 ට පමණ තරග බිමට පිවිසි රුමේෂ්, ආරම්භයේ සිටම අතිවිශිෂ්ට දක්ෂතාවක් ප්‍රදර්ශනය කරමින් මෙම අභිමානවත් ජයග්‍රහණය මෙරටට හිමිකර දුන්නේය.

මෙහි දෙවන ස්ථානය දිනා ගැනීමට ඉන්දියාවේ යෂ්වීර් සිං සමත් වූ අතර, ඔහු දැක්වූ දක්ෂතාව මීටර් 85.72 ක් ලෙස සටහන් විය.
