බගවන්තලාව පොලිස්වසමට අයත් තෙරේසියා වත්තේ සිංගාර කොටසේ තේ වත්තේ සැරසරණ කදුකර කොටියෙකු වතු කම්කරුවෙකු සිය ජංගම දුරකථනයෙන් ඡායාරූප ගෙන එම ඡායාරූපය සමග (09) දින බගවන්තලාව පොලිසිය වෙත පැමිණ වාචිකව පැමිණිල්ලක් සිදු කල බව බගවන්තාලව පොලිසියේ ස්ථානාධිපති ප්‍රධාන පොලිස් පරික්ෂක නුවන් මධුසංඛ මහතා පැවසීය.

එම කදුකර කොටියා ගොදුරු සොයා තම වතු නිවාස ආසන්නයට දිනපතා පැමිණෙන බවත්, එම කදුකර කොටියා තම වතුයායේ වතුකම්කරුවන්ට අනතුරක් සිදු කිරිමට ප්‍රථම වනජීවි නිළධාරින් දැනුවත් කර එම කදුකර කොටියා තේ වත්ත ආසන්නයේම පිහිටි බෝපත්තලාව රක්ෂිතයට පලවා හැරීමට කටයුතු කරන ලෙස එම කම්කරුවා පොලිසියෙන් ඉල්ලා ඇත.

මේ පිලිබදව නල්ලතන්නිය වනජීවි කාර්යාලයේ නිළධාරින් දැනුවත් කිරිමට පියවර ගත් බවද ස්ථානාධිපතිවරයා පැවසිය.

Wild Boar Threatens Tea Estate Workers in Bagawantalawa

In a concerning incident at the Terasiya estate in Bagawantalawa, a worker reported the presence of a wild boar that has been frequenting the area. On September 9th, the worker brought photographic evidence of the boar to the local police station, highlighting the potential threat it poses.

According to police officials, this wild boar has been seen daily near the workers' quarters, raising alarms about the safety of the tea estate laborers. The worker has urged authorities to take action, asking them to notify wildlife officials so that the boar can be safely relocated to the nearby Bopathalawa Reserve.

The officer in charge also confirmed that steps have been initiated to inform the Nallathanniya Wildlife Office about the situation, emphasizing the need for swift intervention to ensure the safety of the workers and the surrounding community.
