‘විශ්ව රූ රැජින’ (Miss Universe) තරගාවලිය ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ පැවැත්වීමේ හැකියාව සහ ඒ ඔස්සේ මෙරට සංචාරක ක්ෂේත්‍රයට අත්වන වාසි පිළිබඳව විදේශ කටයුතු අමාත්‍ය විජිත හේරත් මහතාගේ ප්‍රධානත්වයෙන් සාකච්ඡාවක් පවත්වා තිබේ.

සිය නිල ‘X’ ගිණුම ඔස්සේ සටහනක් තබමින් අමාත්‍යවරයා සඳහන් කර ඇත්තේ, විශ්ව රූ රැජින සංවිධානයේ ගෝලීය හවුල්කාරිත්ව උප සභාපතිනී ඔලිවියා ක්විඩෝ සහ 2020 ලෝක විවාහක රූ රැජින මෙන්ම ‘Caroline J Global Holdings’ සමාගමේ සභාපතිනී කැරොලයින් ජූරි යන මහත්මීන් සමඟ තමන් මේ පිළිබඳව සාකච්ඡා කළ බවයි.

එම සමාගමේ සම-නිර්මාතෘවරුන් සහ අධ්‍යක්ෂවරුන් වන නිෂාන් දීපාල් සහ කුසල් පෙරේරා යන මහත්වරුද මෙම හමුවට එක්ව සිටියහ.

මෙවැනි ගෝලීය මට්ටමේ දැවැන්ත රූ රැජින තරගාවලියකට සත්කාරකත්වය ලබාදීම හරහා ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ සංචාරක කර්මාන්තය ප්‍රවර්ධනය කිරීමටත්, ජාත්‍යන්තර තලයේ මෙරට ප්‍රතිරූපය ඉහළ නැංවීමටත් පුළුල් අවස්ථාවක් උදාවන බව අමාත්‍යවරයා පෙන්වා දෙයි.

එමෙන්ම, ජාත්‍යන්තර ප්‍රමුඛ පෙළේ දැවැන්ත උත්සව සහ සම්මන්ත්‍රණ සාර්ථකව පැවැත්විය හැකි කදිම ගමනාන්තයක් ලෙස ශ්‍රී ලංකාව ලෝකය හමුවේ ස්ථානගත කිරීමට මෙමඟින් මනා පිටිවහලක් ලැබෙනු ඇති බවද එම සාකච්ඡාවේදී විශේෂ අවධානයට ලක්ව තිබේ.

Minister Discusses Potential of Hosting Miss Universe Pageant in Sri Lanka

In a recent meeting led by Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dinesh Gunawardena, discussions revolved around the potential for Sri Lanka to host the Miss Universe pageant and the benefits this could bring to the country’s tourism sector.

Through his official 'X' account, the minister highlighted his conversations with Olivia Quido, the Global Partnership Vice Chair for Miss Universe, as well as Caroline Jewry, the 2020 Mrs. World, who is also the chairperson of 'Caroline J Global Holdings'.

Accompanying the discussions were the co-founders and directors of the holding company, Nishan Deepal and Kusala Perera.

The minister underscored that hosting such a prestigious global beauty pageant would not only enhance Sri Lanka's tourism industry but also provide an opportunity to elevate the country's image on the international stage.

Additionally, it was noted that this event could position Sri Lanka as an ideal destination for major international festivals and conferences, thereby reinforcing the nation’s standing as a prominent locale for global events.
