ආපදා තත්ත්වය හමුවේ රජය ක්‍රියාත්මක වූ ආකාරය පැහැදිලි කරමින් නියෝජ්‍ය අමාත්‍යවරයා පෙන්වා දුන්නේ, එම තීරණාත්මක මොහොතේ ත්‍රිවිධ හමුදා සේනාධිනායකයා වශයෙන් ජනාධිපතිවරයා පෞද්ගලිකවම ආරක්ෂක මූලස්ථානය වෙත පැමිණ මෙහෙයුම් කටයුතු සෘජුවම අධීක්ෂණය කළ බවයි.

කිසිදු අඩුපාඩුවක් සිදු නොවන අයුරින් ආපදා සහන සහ මුදාගැනීමේ කටයුතු සම්බන්ධීකරණය කිරීමට ජනාධිපතිවරයා එහිදී පියවර ගත් බව ද ඔහු සිහිපත් කළේය.

එමෙන්ම, ජල ධාරාවට හසුව අනතුරට පත් වූ බස් රථය මුදාගැනීමේ මෙහෙයුමේදී ද ආරක්ෂක අංශ ඇතුළු බලධාරීන් සියලු පියවර ක්‍රමවත්ව හා ක්ෂණිකව ක්‍රියාත්මක කළ බවත්, එම මුදාගැනීමේ කටයුතු නිසි සැලසුමකට අනුව සාර්ථකව සිදු කළ බවත් නියෝජ්‍ය අමාත්‍යවරයා වැඩිදුරටත් අවධාරණය කළේය.

Government and Security Forces Efficiently Rescue Bus Passengers During Adverse Weather Conditions

In the wake of the recent 'Dithwa' cyclone that caused significant disruptions, the government and security forces efficiently executed a rescue operation for a bus caught in perilous circumstances, as revealed by Deputy Minister of Defence Aruna Jayasekara in Parliament.

Clarifying the government's response during the emergency, the Deputy Minister noted that at the critical moment, the President personally visited the security headquarters to oversee the operation directly as the Commander of the Tri-Forces.

He emphasized that the President took necessary measures to ensure that there were no lapses in coordinating the rescue and relief efforts.

During the operation to free the bus, which had been endangered by rising water levels, security forces and officials acted systematically and promptly. He further underscored that the rescue was executed successfully, adhering to a well-prepared plan.
