රටේ පවතින ආර්ථික අර්බුදය හේතුවෙන් ප්‍රධාන දේශපාලන පක්ෂ ඇතුළු දේශපාලන පක්ෂ රැසක් දැඩි මූල්‍ය අර්බුදයකට මුහුණ දී සිටින බව වාර්තා වේ.

මෙම තත්ත්වය මත ඉදිරි මැතිවරණ කටයුතු සඳහා අවශ්‍ය ප්‍රතිපාදන සොයා ගැනීම පක්ෂවලට දැඩි අභියෝගයක් වී තිබේ.

ඇතැම් පක්ෂවලට සිය මූලස්ථාන සහ ප්‍රාදේශීය කාර්යාල නඩත්තු කිරීම, නිලධාරීන්ට සහ සේවකයන්ට වැටුප් ගෙවීම පවා මේ වන විට අතිශය දුෂ්කර වී ඇති බව පැවසේ.

ඇතැම් පක්ෂ කාර්යාලවල විදුලි සහ ජල බිල්පත් ගෙවා ගැනීමට පවා නොහැකි තත්ත්වයක් උදාවී ඇති බව එම ආරංචි මාර්ග වැඩිදුරටත් පෙන්වා දෙයි.

අධික වියදම් හේතුවෙන් බොහෝ පක්ෂ සතු මූල්‍ය සංචිත මේ වන විට සිඳී ගොස් ඇති අතර, ඉදිරි මැතිවරණ ඉලක්ක කරගනිමින් දේශීය හා විදේශීය ධනපතියන්ගේ සහාය ලබා ගැනීමට ඔවුන් බලාපොරොත්තු වෙයි.

මේ අතර, පසුගිය මැතිවරණ සමයන්හිදී විදේශයන්ගෙන් ලැබුණු මූල්‍ය ආධාර ඇතැම් පක්ෂ නායකයන් සහ නිලධාරීන් සිය පෞද්ගලික කටයුතු සඳහා යොදාගෙන ඇති බවට ද තොරතුරු අනාවරණය වී තිබේ.

පක්ෂ අරමුදල් වියදම් කිරීමේදී විනිවිදභාවයකින් යුත් වැඩපිළිවෙළක් සකස් කිරීමට ඇතැම් නායකයන් උත්සාහ කළ ද, තවත් පිරිසක් ඊට බාධා පමුණුවන බව ද වාර්තා වේ.

මැතිවරණ කොමිෂන් සභාව විසින් මේ වන විට මෙරට පිළිගත් දේශපාලන පක්ෂ 85ක් ලියාපදිංචි කර තිබේ.

Political Parties Struggle Financially Amid Economic Crisis in Sri Lanka

The ongoing economic crisis in the country has plunged major political parties and a myriad of others into severe financial turmoil. Reports indicate that this dire situation is making it increasingly difficult for these political entities to secure the necessary resources for upcoming elections.

For some parties, maintaining their headquarters and regional offices, along with paying salaries to officials and staff, has become an arduous task. The financial strain has reached a point where certain party offices are reportedly unable to pay their electricity and water bills.

High expenditures have led many parties to deplete their financial reserves, prompting them to seek support from local and foreign benefactors as they gear up for the elections. Some leaders and officials have been accused of misusing foreign financial aid received during previous election cycles for personal ventures.

While certain leaders have attempted to establish transparent procedures for the expenditure of party funds, others are reportedly impeding these efforts. Currently, the Election Commission has registered 85 political parties recognized in the country.
