ඩඩ්ලිගේ වියදමෙන් පොලොන්නරුව දුම්රියපල අලුත් කරයි..

 ශ්‍රී ලංකා දුම්රිය දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව මගින් ක්‍රියාත්මක කරනු ලබන දුම්රිය ස්ථාන 100ක් නවීකරණය කිරීමේ "සිහින ගමනාන්තය" ජනතා වැඩසටහන යටතේ, පූර්ණ ලෙස ප්‍රතිසංස්කරණය කරන ලද පොළොන්නරුව දුම්රිය ස්ථානය අද (04) දින යළි ජනතා අයිතියට පත් කෙරිණි.

ප්‍රවාහන, මහාමාර්ග සහ නාගරික සංවර්ධන අමාත්‍යාංශයේ මෙහෙයවීමෙන්, පෞද්ගලික අංශයේ ව්‍යවසායකත්ව සේවා සහ මූල්‍ය දායකත්වය ඇතිව මෙම ව්‍යාපෘතිය ක්‍රියාත්මක වේ.

ඒ අනුව පොළොන්නරුව දුම්රිය ස්ථානය නවීකරණය කිරීම සඳහා අරලිය සමූහ ව්‍යාපාරය රුපියල් ලක්ෂ 350ක (මිලියන 35ක) මූල්‍ය දායකත්වයක් ලබා දී තිබේ.

මෙම නවීකරණ ව්‍යාපෘතිය යටතේ දුම්රිය ස්ථානයේ පැරණි ගොඩනැගිල්ලේ ඓතිහාසික වටිනාකම සුරකිමින් මගී විවේකාගාර, දුම්රිය භාණ්ඩ ගබඩාව, කාර්යාල පක්ෂය මෙන්ම ස්ත්‍රී පුරුෂ දෙපාර්ශවය සඳහාම නවීන සනීපාරක්ෂක පහසුකම් ද අලුතින් ස්ථාපිත කර ඇත.

ව්‍යාපාරික ඩඩ්ලි සිරිසේන මහතාගේ ප්‍රධානත්වයෙන් පැවති මෙම උත්සවයේදී, නවීකරණය කරන ලද දුම්රිය ස්ථානය මගී ජනතාවගේ පරිහරණය සඳහා නිල වශයෙන් පවරා දෙන ලදී.

පෞද්ගලික අංශය සහ රජය ඒකාබද්ධව සිදුකරන මෙවැනි ව්‍යාපෘති හරහා පොදු ප්‍රවාහන සේවයේ ගුණාත්මකභාවය ඉහළ නැංවීමට අපේක්ෂා කරන බව මෙහිදී අවධාරණය කෙරිණි.

Polonnaruwa Railway Station Reopens After Major Renovation

Renovation efforts in Sri Lanka's railway sector culminated today with the reopening of the fully refurbished Polonnaruwa Railway Station. This landmark event is part of the "Dream Destination" public initiative to upgrade 100 railway stations across the nation.

Under the aegis of the Ministry of Transport, Highways, and Urban Development, the project was propelled by the collaboration of private sector entrepreneurs who provided essential services and financial contributions.

The Araliya Group was a significant financial partner in this ambitious undertaking, offering a remarkable Rs. 35 million (approximately $350,000) to facilitate the station's rejuvenation.

Retaining the historic value of the original structure, the renovated station now features modern passenger lounges, a spacious goods storage area, and updated restroom facilities catering to everyone, irrespective of gender.

During a ceremony led by business leader Dudley Sirisena, the station was officially handed over for public use, marking a critical step toward enhancing the travel experience for the local population.

Officials emphasized that such collaborations between the government and private sectors are vital for uplifting the quality of public transportation services in Sri Lanka.
