එහිදී ඔවුන් වෙනුවෙන් පෙනී සිටි නීතිඥවරයා අධිකරණය හමුවේ කරුණු දක්වමින් කියා සිටියේ, අරවින්ද ද සිල්වා මහතාගේ මෑණියන් අභාවප්‍රාප්ත වී ඇති අතර ඇයගේ අවමංගල්‍ය උත්සවය අද දින පැවැත්වීමට නියමිතව තිබීම හේතුවෙන් ඔවුන්ට අධිකරණය හමුවේ පෙනී සිටීමට නොහැකි වූ බවයි.

කෙසේවෙතත්, අදාළ වරෙන්තු ආපසු කැඳවීම සඳහා ඉදිරිපත් වන අවස්ථාවේදී එම කරුණු අධිකරණය හමුවට ඉදිරිපත් කළ යුතු බව මහේස්ත්‍රාත්වරයා එහිදී වැඩිදුරටත් දැනුම් දුන්නේය.

Aravinda de Silva and Wife Ordered to Appear in Court Amid Ongoing Case

Former Sri Lankan cricket star Aravinda de Silva and his wife Priyanga Anushka Wijeanayake have been instructed to surrender immediately by Colombo Fort Magistrate Pasan Amarasekara today. This directive came as part of a hearing concerning a case against Kapila Chandrasekara, the former CEO of SriLankan Airlines, and his wife.

The order was issued during proceedings at the Fort Magistrate's Court, where the case against Chandrasekara and his spouse was brought forward. The couple's absence from court prompted the magistrate to take this action.

Aravinda de Silva and his wife were appearing as sureties for Chandrasekara's wife. Their failure to show up in court today was the reason for the magistrate's intervention.

During the proceedings, a lawyer representing them stated that Aravinda de Silva's mother had passed away, and her funeral was scheduled for today, which prevented them from attending the court session.

Nonetheless, the magistrate emphasized that these reasons should be presented formally in court should the request for revocation of the warrants be put forth in the future.
