 රුපියල් කෝටි 400ක අයිස් මත්ද්‍රව්‍ය වැටලීමට ඔත්තු සැපයූ පොලිස් උපාය දූතයෙකු ඝාතනය කර, ඔහුගේ හිස කඳින් වෙන්කර සහකාර පොලිස් අධිකාරී රොහාන් ඕලුගල මහතාගේ නිවස ඉදිරිපිට දමා යාමට විදේශගත පාතාල නායකයන් මෙහෙයවූ සාහසික සැලසුමක් ව්‍යර්ථ කරමින් ඊට සම්බන්ධ ප්‍රධාන සැකකරුවන් දෙදෙනෙකු අත්අඩංගුවට ගැනීමට වලාන මධ්‍යම දූෂණ මර්දන ප්‍රහාරක බලකාය සමත්ව තිබේ.

2025 වසරේ නොවැම්බර් මස 12 වනදා කිරින්ද, අඳගලවැල්ල මුහුදු ප්‍රදේශයේදී රුපියල් කෝටි 400කට ආසන්න වටිනාකමකින් යුත් දැවැන්ත අයිස් මත්ද්‍රව්‍ය තොගයක් සමඟ සැකකරුවන් හත්දෙනෙකු අත්අඩංගුවට ගනු ලැබුවේ මෙම පොලිස් උපාය දූතයා ලබා දුන් නිශ්චිත බුද්ධි තොරතුරකට අනුවය.

ඊට පළිගැනීමක් ලෙස විදේශගතව සැඟව සිටින සංවිධානාත්මක අපරාධකරුවන් වන ‘රූබන්’ සහ ‘අංගොඩ ප්‍රියංකර’ යන පාතාල නායකයින් විසින් අදාළ ඔත්තුකරු ඝාතනය කර, ඔහුගේ හිස කපා සහකාර පොලිස් අධිකාරී රොහාන් ඕලුගල මහතාගේ නිවෙස ඉදිරිපිට දමා යාමට සැලසුම් කර තිබූ බව හෙළිව ඇත.

එම මුල් උත්සාහය ව්‍යර්ථ වීමෙන් පසු, පසුගිය 05 වනදා පොලිස් ජීප් රථයකට සමාන ව්‍යාජ ජීප් රථයකින් පැමිණ අදාළ උපාය දූතයාව රිය අනතුරකට ලක්කර ඝාතනය කිරීමට උත්සාහ කර තිබූ අතර, එම ප්‍රයත්නය ද අසාර්ථක විය. එම අපරාධය සඳහා යොදාගත් ජීප් රථය පසුව කඩුවෙල, හේවාගම ප්‍රදේශයේ ගරාජයක සඟවා තිබියදී ආරක්ෂක අංශ විසින් සොයාගන්නා ලදී.

ඝාතනය මෙහෙයවීමට පැමිණි කුලී ඝාතකයින් දෙදෙනා සෙල්ල කතරගම ප්‍රදේශයේ ලැගුම්ගෙන සිටියදී වලාන දූෂණ මර්දන ප්‍රහාරක ඒකකය මගින් අත්අඩංගුවට ගෙන තිබේ. මෙලෙස අත්අඩංගුවට පත්ව ඇත්තේ වැල්ලම්පිටිය ප්‍රදේශයේ පදිංචි 41 හැවිරිදි මධුක චාමර හෙවත් ‘මධුවා’ සහ ඉංගිරිය ප්‍රදේශයේ පදිංචි 38 හැවිරිදි නලින් නමැති සැකකරුවන්ය.

අදාළ උපාය දූතයා ඝාතනය කර හිස ගසා දැමීම සඳහා විශේෂයෙන් සූදානම් කර තිබූ මන්නා පිහි දෙකක් සහ මත්ද්‍රව්‍ය තොගයක් සැකකරුවන් සන්තකයේ තිබී පොලිසිය විසින් සොයාගෙන ඇති අතර සිද්ධිය සම්බන්ධයෙන් පුළුල් විමර්ශන ක්‍රියාත්මක වේ.

Police Foil Assassination Plot Linked to Major Drug Bust

In a shocking turn of events, a plot to murder a police informant involved in a significant drug bust has been thwarted. The planned assassination, orchestrated by foreign criminal leaders, was aimed at Rohan Olugala, the Assistant Superintendent of Police, who had been instrumental in the seizure of an enormous cache of ice narcotics valued at 400 million rupees.

The dramatic operation unfolded on November 12, 2025, off the coast of Kirinda in the Adagalawella area, when seven suspects were apprehended based on actionable intelligence provided by the informant. This intelligence was crucial, leading to the capture of the substantial drug haul.

In retaliation for the informant's cooperation, two organized crime leaders, known as 'Ruban' and 'Angoda Priyankara', orchestrated his assassination. Details have emerged indicating that the plan involved decapitating the informant and leaving his severed head outside Olugala's residence as a grim warning.

Following the initial failed attempt, in which assailants disguised as police officers attempted to run the informant off the road on December 5, authorities discovered that the vehicle used in the attack had been hidden in a garage in the Kaduwela and Hewagama area.

The two hired killers were apprehended by the Anti-Corruption Task Force while they were residing in the Sellakataragama region. The suspects, identified as 41-year-old Madhuka Chamara, also known as 'Madhwa', from the Wellampitiya area, and 38-year-old Nalin from the Ingiriya area, were taken into custody without incident.

In addition, law enforcement officials recovered two machetes and a portion of the drug cache that had been prepared specifically for the assassination. Ongoing investigations are set to determine the full extent of the conspiracy and any further connections to organized crime.
