දිසාපතිවරයාගේ නිර්දේශිත නාමලේඛනයට අනුව ආහාර බෙදාදීම හේතුවෙන් කිලිනොච්චිය, කුමාරපුරම් ප්‍රදේශය භාර ග්‍රාම නිලධාරීවරයාට පහරදුන් බවට චෝදනා ලැබ සිටින ජාතික ජන බලවේගයේ පාර්ලිමේන්තු මන්ත්‍රීවරයාට එරෙහිව මාසයක් ඇතුළත චෝදනා ගොනු කරන ලෙස කිලිනොච්චිය මහේස්ත්‍රාත්වරයා  (28) පොලිසියට නියෝග කළේය.

අදාළ මන්ත්‍රීවරයා විසින් ලබාදුන් නාමලේඛනය ප්‍රතික්ෂේප කරමින්, දිස්ත්‍රික් ලේකම්වරයාගේ නිල නාමලේඛනයට අනුව ජනතාව වෙත ආහාර බෙදාදීමට කටයුතු කිරීම හේතුවෙන් උරණ වූ මන්ත්‍රීවරයා මෙම පහරදීම සිදුකර ඇති බවට තොරතුරු අනාවරණය වී තිබේ.

පහරකෑමට ලක්වූ ග්‍රාම නිලධාරීවරයා එම සිදුවීම වූ දිනදීම පොලිසියට ගොස් පැමිණිලි කර තිබුණද, පොලිසිය ඒ සම්බන්ධයෙන් අපක්ෂපාතී පරීක්ෂණයක් පවත්වා මන්ත්‍රීවරයාට එරෙහිව මෙතෙක් නීතිමය පියවර ගෙන හෝ චෝදනා ගොනු කර නොමැති බව නඩු විභාගයේදී හෙළි විය.

එම කරුණු සැලකිල්ලට ගත් මහේස්ත්‍රාත්වරයා, සිද්ධිය පිළිබඳව වහාම පූර්ණ විමර්ශනයක් සිදුකර ඊට අදාළ වාර්තාව සහ මන්ත්‍රීවරයාට එරෙහි චෝදනා පත්‍රය මාසයක් ඇතුළත අධිකරණය හමුවට ඉදිරිපත් කරන ලෙස පොලිසියට නියෝග කර සිටියේය.

Legal Action Ordered Against MP for Assaulting Grama Niladhari Over Food Distribution

A local politician has come under scrutiny after allegedly assaulting a Grama Niladhari in Kilinochchi's Kumarapuram area during a food distribution event. The Kilinochchi Magistrate has instructed the police to file charges against the national parliamentary member within one month, following a formal complaint regarding the incident.

Details emerging from the case indicate that the MP disregarded the official list provided by the District Secretary and acted on his own accord during the food distribution. This discrepancy is believed to have fueled the confrontation with the Grama Niladhari, who reported the assault to the authorities on the same day it occurred.

Despite the Grama Niladhari's timely complaint, police investigations into the matter reportedly lacked impartiality, with no legal action taken against the MP up to this point. The Magistrate highlighted these concerns during court proceedings, emphasizing the need for a thorough inquiry.

As a result, the Magistrate has called for the police to conduct a complete investigation into the incident and submit both the related report and the charges against the MP to the court within the stipulated month.
