BOC ආරක්ෂක පද්ධති බිද වැටීමකද..


ලංකා බැංකුවේ ඩිජිටල් බැංකු පහසුකම් ඔස්සේ සිදු කර ඇති ගනුදෙනු කිහිපයක් සම්බන්ධයෙන් මෑතකදී සමාජ මාධ්‍ය ඔස්සේ පළ වූ වාර්තා පිළිබඳව කරුණු පැහැදිලි කරමින් එම බැංකුව විසින් විශේෂ නිවේදනයක් නිකුත් කර තිබේ.

එම නිවේදනය මඟින් ලංකා බැංකුව අවධාරණය කරන්නේ, අදාළ ගනුදෙනු කිසිසේත්ම සිය බැංකු පද්ධතිවල හෝ ඩිජිටල් බැංකු යෙදුම්වල (Digital Banking Apps) කිසිදු ආරක්ෂක බිඳවැටීමක්, අනවසර ප්‍රවේශයක් හෝ තාක්ෂණික දෝෂයක් හේතුවෙන් සිදු වූ ඒවා නොවන බවයි.

අදාළ ගනුදෙනු සිදු කිරීම සඳහා අවශ්‍ය අන්තර්ජාල බැංකුකරණ පිවිසුම් තොරතුරු සහ ලියාපදිංචි දුරකථන අංක වෙත ලැබෙන එක්වරක් පමණක් භාවිත කළ හැකි මුරපද (OTP) නිසි පරිදි භාවිත කරමින් එම ගනුදෙනු සත්‍යාපනය කර ඇති බව ද බැංකුව පෙන්වා දෙයි.

මේ හේතුවෙන් තම බැංකු ගනුදෙනු සුරක්ෂිතව සිදු කර ගැනීම සඳහා පහත සඳහන් ආරක්ෂක උපදෙස් අනිවාර්යයෙන්ම පිළිපදින ලෙස ලංකා බැංකුව සියලුම ගනුදෙනුකරුවන්ගෙන් යළිත් ඉල්ලා සිටී:

  • කෙටි පණිවිඩ (SMS), විද්‍යුත් තැපෑල (Email), WhatsApp, සමාජ මාධ්‍ය හෝ වෙනත් ඕනෑම මාධ්‍යයක් ඔස්සේ ලැබෙන නොදන්නා හෝ සැක සහිත සබැඳි (Links) කිසිවිටෙකත් විවෘත නොකිරීම.
  • තම පරිශීලක නාමය (Username), මුරපදය, OTP අංකය, රහස්‍ය අංකය (PIN), කාඩ්පත් තොරතුරු හෝ වෙනත් කිසිදු රහස්‍ය බැංකු තොරතුරක් කිසිදු තෙවන පාර්ශ්වයක් සමඟ බෙදා නොගැනීම.
  • දුරකථන ඇමතුම්, SMS, විද්‍යුත් තැපෑල, සමාජ මාධ්‍ය හෝ වෙබ් සබැඳි ඔස්සේ ගනුදෙනුකරුවන්ගේ මුරපදය, PIN අංකය හෝ OTP අංක ලංකා බැංකුව විසින් කිසිදු විටෙක ඉල්ලා නොසිටින බව සිහි තබා ගැනීම.

යම් හෙයකින් සැක සහිත පණිවිඩයක් ලැබුණහොත් හෝ තම බැංකු තොරතුරු අනවසර පාර්ශ්වයක් විසින් ලබාගෙන ඇතැයි සැකයක් මතුවුවහොත්, වහාම ලංකා බැංකුවේ නිල සන්නිවේදන මාර්ග ඔස්සේ බැංකුව අමතන ලෙස ද දැනුම් දෙයි.

එසේම නිවැරදි හා විශ්වාසනීය තොරතුරු සඳහා සැමවිටම ලංකා බැංකුවේ නිල සන්නිවේදන මාර්ග ඔස්සේ නිකුත් කෙරෙන නිවේදන පමණක් විශ්වාස කරන ලෙස බැංකුව මහජනතාවගෙන් වැඩිදුරටත් ඉල්ලා සිටී.







BOC Addresses Recent Concerns Over Digital Transactions

The boc of has issued a clarifying statement in response to recent reports circulating on social media regarding various transactions carried out through its digital banking facilities.

This announcement emphasizes that there has been no security breach within its banking systems or digital banking applications, nor have there been any unauthorized access or technological errors that could have contributed to these transactions.

The bank further reassured the public that the transactions were conducted using properly secured online banking credentials and one-time passwords (OTPs), which were sent to registered phone numbers for single use.

To strengthen the security of banking transactions, the boc is urging all customers to adhere to the following security guidelines:

  • Avoid opening any unknown or suspicious links received via SMS, email, WhatsApp, social media, or any other medium.
  • Never share user names, passwords, OTPs, PINs, card details, or any other confidential banking information with third parties.
  • Be aware that the boc will never request passwords, PINs, or OTPs through phone calls, SMS, emails, social media, or web links.

If customers receive any suspicious messages or suspect that their banking information may have been compromised, they are advised to immediately contact the boc through its official communication channels.

The bank also cautions the public to rely solely on announcements disseminated through its official communication channels for accurate and trustworthy information.
