Former Air Force Commander Testifies in Ongoing Investigations of MIG Aircraft Deal

In connection with the ongoing investigations into the controversial acquisition of MIG fighter jets, former Air Force Chief Marshal Donald Pereira appeared today before the Financial Crimes Investigation Division (FCID) to provide a statement.

Pereira was summoned as part of a long and detailed examination process surrounding the procurement of these aircraft, which has raised significant concerns and prompted scrutiny at various levels.

This high-stakes inquiry has already seen testimonies from several influential figures, including former President Gotabaya Rajapaksa and former Air Force Chief Marshal Roshan Gunathilaka, who also provided statements to the FCID in recent days regarding the matter.
