ඒ අනුව 2026 අගෝස්තු මාසයේ දී 8.1 % ක් ලෙස වාර්තා වූ මෙරට උද්ධමන අනුපාතය 2026 සැප්තැම්බර් මාසය සඳහා ද 8.1% ක් ලෙස නොවෙනස්ව පවතී.
2026 අගෝස්තු මාසයේ දී 6.6 % ක් ලෙස වාර්තා වූ ආහාර කාණ්ඩයේ ලක්‍ෂ්‍යමය උද්ධමන අනුපාතය 2026 සැප්තැම්බර් මාසයේ දී 6.9% ක් දක්වා වැඩි වී ඇත.
එමෙන්ම, 2026 අගෝස්තු මාසයේ දී 9.3% ක් වූ ආහාර නොවන කාණ්ඩයේ ලක්‍ෂ්‍යමය උද්ධමන අනුපාතය 2026 සැප්තැම්බර් මාසයේ දී 9.1% ක් දක්වා අඩු වී ඇත.
Sri Lanka's National Consumer Price Index Stays Steady Amid Inflation Trends
The Department of Census and Statistics is set to release the National Consumer Price Index (NCPI) for September 2026, along with the monthly inflation rate for the same period.
According to the latest data, the inflation rate reported in August 2026 remains unchanged at 8.1% for September 2026.
In the food category, the targeted inflation rate grew from 6.6% in August 2026 to 6.9% in September 2026, indicating a slight upward trend.
Conversely, the inflation rate for non-food items decreased from 9.3% in August 2026 to 9.1% in September 2026, reflecting a tightening in price increases in that sector.
