ජනාධිපතිවරයා රෝගාතුරව ප්‍රතිකාර ලබන බව දක්වමින් ඇතැම් සමාජ මාධ්‍ය ගිණුම් ඔස්සේ සංවිධානාත්මකව නොමඟ යවන සුළු පුවත් හුවමාරු වීමත් සමඟ මේ සම්බන්ධයෙන් අවධානයක් මෙන්ම විවිධ කථාබහක් නිර්මාණය වී තිබිණි.
මෙම තත්ත්වය සැලකිල්ලට ගනිමින් ජනාධිපති කාර්යාලය පැහැදිලි කර ඇත්තේ, අදාළ තොරතුරුවල කිසිදු සත්‍යතාවක් නොමැති බවයි.
එබැවින් මෙවැනි අසත්‍ය හා ද්වේෂසහගත ප්‍රචාරයන්ට නොරැවටෙන ලෙස මහජනතාවගෙන් ඉල්ලා සිටින ජනාධිපති මාධ්‍ය අංශය, නිල මූලාශ්‍ර මඟින් තහවුරු කර නොගත් මෙවැනි පදනම් විරහිත පුවත් සමාජ මාධ්‍ය ඔස්සේ බෙදාහැරීමෙන් හා හුවමාරු කර ගැනීමෙන් වළකින ලෙස ද මහජනතාවගෙන් වැඩිදුරටත් කාරුණිකව ඉල්ලා සිටී.

Recent reports circulating on social media claiming that President Anura Kumara Dissanayake has been admitted to a private hospital due to a sudden illness have been firmly dismissed by the President's media office. They emphasize that such information is entirely inaccurate.
The media office noted that while some social media accounts were sharing misleading information regarding the President’s health, this has led to undue speculation and discussions within various circles.
In light of these developments, the President's office has clarified that there are no factual grounds to support the claims being made.
In a bid to curb the spread of false and malicious rumors, the media office is urging the public to refrain from circulating unverified news on social media and to rely on official sources for accurate information.
