 ශ්‍රී ලංකා මුහුදු සීමාවෙන් ඔබ්බෙහි රැඳී සිටින ඉරාන නෞකා සම්බන්ධ සිදුවීමේදී රටට හෝ ජනතාවට අගතියක් සිදුවන කිසිදු තීරණයකට රජය ප්‍රවේශ නොවන බව සෞඛ්‍ය සහ ජනමාධ්‍ය අමාත්‍ය වෛද්‍ය නලින්ද ජයතිස්ස මහතා අවධාරණය කරයි.

මාධ්‍යවේදීන් නැගූ ප්‍රශ්නවලට පිළිතුරු දෙමින් අමාත්‍යවරයා මේ බව සඳහන් කළේය.

අදාළ නෞකා රැඳී සිටින්නේ මෙරට මුහුදු සීමාව තුළ නොවන බව පෙන්වා දුන් අමාත්‍යවරයා, එම තත්ත්වය සම්බන්ධයෙන් ගත යුතු ඉදිරි පියවර පිළිබඳව විදේශ කටයුතු අමාත්‍යාංශය ඉතා සමීපව සහ විමසිලිමත්ව කටයුතු කරමින් සිටින බව පැවසීය.

පවතින ගෝලීය යුදමය වාතාවරණය හමුවේ ශ්‍රී ලංකාව නිරන්තරයෙන්ම අනුගමනය කරනු ලැබුවේ මධ්‍යස්ථ සහ නොබැඳි විදේශ ප්‍රතිපත්තියක් බව සිහිපත් කළ අමාත්‍යවරයා, මෙරට ක්‍රියාත්මක එම ප්‍රතිපත්තිය ජාත්‍යන්තර ප්‍රජාවගේ මෙන්ම යුද ගැටුම්වලට සම්බන්ධ පාර්ශ්වයන්ගේ ද ඉහළ ඇගයීමට ලක්ව ඇති බව පෙන්වා දුන්නේය.

විශේෂයෙන්ම ඇමෙරිකානු සම්බාධක පිළිබඳව අවධානය යොමු කරමින් මෙරටට යම් අර්බුදකාරී තත්ත්වයක් මතුවිය හැකිදැයි මාධ්‍යවේදීන් විමසූ අවස්ථාවේදී අමාත්‍යවරයා කියා සිටියේ, රට අර්බුදයකට ලක්වන හෝ රටට අවාසිදායක වන කිසිදු අත්තනෝමතික තීරණයකට රජය කිසිසේත්ම නොඑළඹෙන බවයි.

අදාළ රටවල් සමඟ රාජ්‍යතාන්ත්‍රික මට්ටමින් සාකච්ඡා කරමින්, ජාතික අවශ්‍යතාවන්ට මුල්තැන දෙමින් නිසි ක්‍රමවේදයට අනුව ඉදිරි පියවර ගැනීමට රජය කටයුතු කරනු ඇති බව ද අමාත්‍ය වෛද්‍ය නලින්ද ජයතිස්ස මහතා වැඩිදුරටත් සඳහන් කළේය.

Sri Lanka Government to Stay Neutral Amidst Iranian Vessel Incident

The Sri Lankan government will not make any decisions that could affect the nation or its people concerning the Iranian vessel currently operating outside the country's maritime boundaries. Minister of Health and Media, Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa, emphasized this stance while responding to questions from the media.

During his remarks, the minister clarified that the vessel is not within Sri Lanka's maritime limits. He noted that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is closely and carefully considering the necessary steps regarding the situation.

Amid the ongoing global military climate, Dr. Jayatissa reminded that Sri Lanka has consistently adhered to a principled foreign policy of non-alignment, which has been well regarded by both the international community and parties involved in conflict.

When asked about the potential for a crisis related to American sanctions, he assured that the government would not allow Sri Lanka to be put in a compromising position or make any unilateral decisions that could harm the nation.

Moreover, he indicated that discussions are being held at the diplomatic level with the involved countries, prioritizing national interests and emphasizing proper procedures for subsequent actions.
