ආණ්ඩුව රට හදන්නෑ.. විරුද්දවාදීන් හිරේ දානවා විතරයි..

 වත්මන් ජනාධිපතිවරයා ප්‍රමුඛ ආණ්ඩුව ක්‍රියාත්මක වන්නේ සමාජ පරිවර්තනයක් හෝ යහපත් රාජ්‍යයක් ගොඩනැගීමට නොව, තම දේශපාලන විරුද්ධවාදීන් නිශ්චිත කාලසීමාවක් තුළ කොටු කර මර්දනය කිරීමේ පටු උපායමාර්ගයකින් යුතුව බව ශ්‍රී ලංකා පොදුජන පෙරමුණේ හිටපු පාර්ලිමේන්තු මන්ත්‍රී සංජීව එදිරිමාන්න මහතා පවසයි.

බත්තරමුල්ල, නෙළුම් මාවතේ පිහිටි ශ්‍රී ලංකා පොදුජන පෙරමුණු පක්ෂ මූලස්ථානයේදී පැවති විශේෂ මාධ්‍ය හමුවක් අමතමින් ඒ මහතා පළකලේය.

මැතිවරණ වේදිකාවේදී ජනතා විමුක්ති පෙරමුණ සහ ජාතික ජන බලවේගය විසින් ජනතාව හමුවේ ප්‍රතිඥා දුන් නව දේශපාලන සංස්කෘතිය සහ ව්‍යවස්ථාදායක ප්‍රතිසංස්කරණ පිළිබඳ පොරොන්දු, වත්මන් පාලනය යටතේ ක්‍රියාවට නැංවෙන අත්තනෝමතික ප්‍රවේශයන් සමඟ මුළුමනින්ම පරස්පර විරෝධී වී ඇති බව ඔහු එහිදී පෙන්වා දුන්නේය.

විශේෂයෙන්ම, ප්‍රජාතන්ත්‍රවාදී රටක පුරවැසියෙකු සතු උත්තරීතර පුද්ගල නිදහස ආරක්ෂා කරනු වස් ස්වාධීන අධිකරණය සතුව පැවතිය යුතු අතිශය සංවේදී හා තීරණාත්මක බලතල, බාහිර විමර්ශන ආයතන වෙත පවරාදීමට ආණ්ඩුව සැරසෙන බවට හිටපු මන්ත්‍රීවරයා චෝදනාවක් එල්ල කළේය. 

ශක්තිමත් දේශපාලන ප්‍රතිවාදීන් නොමැති හිස් යුද පිටියක් නිර්මාණය කර ගැනීමේ අරමුණින් නීතිය අවියක් කරගනිමින් මෙවැනි නව කෙටුම්පත් සම්පාදනය වෙමින් පවතින බවත්, ආණ්ඩුක්‍රම ව්‍යවස්ථාවේ මූලික ව්‍යුහය හෝ පුරවැසියන්ගේ මූලික අයිතිවාසිකම් උල්ලංඝනය වන පරිදි අලුතින් නීති සම්පාදනය කිරීමට කිසිදු රජයකට නීතිමය හෝ සදාචාරාත්මක අයිතියක් නොමැති බවත් ආණ්ඩුක්‍රම ව්‍යවස්ථා නීතිය සහ දේශපාලන විද්‍යා මූලධර්ම උපුටා දක්වමින් හෙතෙම අවධාරණය කළේය.

මීට අමතරව, හෝමාගම පොලිස් සිරමැදිරිය තුළදී තරුණයෙකු අභිරහස් ලෙස මියයාමේ සිදුවීම සම්බන්ධයෙන් රජයේ අවධානය යොමුකළ ඒ මහතා, සිරමැදිරියෙන් නැඟුණු අඳෝනාව ජනාධිපතිවරයා ඇතුළු ආණ්ඩුවට නෑසුණේදැයි ප්‍රශ්න කර සිටියේය. 

වරදක් කළ අයෙකුට වුවද නීත්‍යනුකූලව දඬුවම් නියම කිරීමේ බලය ඇත්තේ අධිකරණයට පමණක් බව සිහිපත් කළ හිටපු මන්ත්‍රීවරයා, පොලිස් කූඩුවක් තුළදී සැකකරුවෙකු මරණය දක්වා ගෙන යන එවැනි අමානුෂික පරිසරයකට නීතිමය ආරක්ෂාව සපයන ආකාරයේ අලුත් නීති සැකසීම අතිශය භයානක තත්ත්වයක් බවද වැඩිදුරටත් කියා සිටියේය.

Former MP Critiques Government's Authoritarian Approach to Political Opponents

Sanjeewa Edirimanna, a former parliamentarian of the Sri Lanka People's Front, has accused the current administration of prioritizing political repression over social transformation and good governance. He emphasized that the government's actions are strategically aimed at suppressing political adversaries within a defined timeframe.

During a special media briefing at the party headquarters located on Neluem Mawatha in Battaramulla, Edirimanna voiced his concerns regarding the alleged authoritarian tendencies of the government.

He highlighted a stark contradiction in the promises made by the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna and the National People's Power, who pledged a new political culture and constitutional reforms during the election campaign. According to Edirimanna, these aims are entirely at odds with the autocratic methods being employed by the current regime.

In particular, he criticized the government's intent to delegate critical powers that ensure the fundamental freedoms of citizens in a democratic state to external oversight bodies, undermining the independence of the judiciary.

Edirimanna warned that the imposition of new interim regulations is a tactic to create a political vacuum devoid of strong opposition, thereby eroding the foundational structure of the constitution and violating citizens' fundamental rights. He pointed out that no government possesses the legal or moral authority to enact laws that infringe upon the constitution.

Furthermore, he called for attention to the suspicious death of a young man at the Homagama police station, questioning whether such incidents had raised alarms within the government, including the President.

Reminding the audience that only the judiciary has the legitimate authority to enforce punishment against wrongdoers, Edirimanna expressed concern over the increasingly inhumane conditions in police custody, where suspects have been reported to die, warning of an alarming situation that necessitates urgent legal reforms to protect the human rights of detainees.
