ඒ අනුව කොළඹ නාගරික ප්‍රජාවගේ පාරිභෝගික උද්ධමන අනුපාතය 2026 ඔක්තෝබර් මාසය සඳහා 8.3% ක් දක්වා වැඩි වී ඇත. එය 2026 සැප්තැම්බර් මාසය සඳහා 8.0% ක් ලෙස වාර්තා වී තිබුණි.
2026 ඔක්තෝබර් මාසයේ දී ආහාර කාණ්ඩයේ වාර්ෂික උද්ධමන අනුපාතය (ලක්‍ෂ්‍යමය) 8.8% දක්වා වැඩි වී ඇති අතර 2026 සැප්තැම්බර් මාසයේ දී එය වාර්තා වූයේ 8.7% ක් ලෙසයි.
එමෙන්ම, 2026 ඔක්තෝබර් මාසය සඳහා ආහාර නොවන කාණ්ඩයේ වාර්ෂික උද්ධමන අනුපාතය (ලක්‍ෂ්‍යමය) 8.0 % ක් දක්වා වැඩි වී ඇති අතර, 2026 සැප්තැම්බර් මාසයේ දී එය 7.7% ක් ලෙස වාර්තා විය.
Colombo's Consumer Price Index Sees Rise in Inflation Rates for October 2026
The Department of Census and Statistics has unveiled the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for Colombo, marking a significant change in the urban community's inflation dynamics.
For October 2026, the inflation rate for Colombo's urban population has surged to 8.3%, a noticeable increase from the reported rate of 8.0% in September 2026.
The annual inflation rate for the food category has also witnessed a rise, reaching 8.8% in October 2026, compared to 8.7% in the previous month.
Meanwhile, inflation in non-food categories has increased to 8.0% for October, up from 7.7% in September 2026, indicating a broadening of price pressures across various sectors.
