Iran Threatens Massive Retaliation Against Any US or Israeli Attack
In a stark warning, Iran's Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, declared that if the United States or Israel were to launch any military strike against Iran, it would immediately unleash a massive wave of retaliation, unrestricted by any geographical boundaries. This declaration was reported by Turkey's Daily Sabah newspaper.
Khamenei has ordered Iranian military forces to elevate their state of readiness to the highest level. He emphasized the need to broaden their target acquisition systems, bringing all US and Israeli material and strategic assets within the scope of their attacks. Additionally, he called for a reinforcement of intelligence networks to expedite arms manufacturing.
Following a special meeting with senior military officials, Khamenei underscored that if enemies initiate a military or terrorist attack, the timing and conditions for concluding such a conflict will be determined by Iran. He highlighted the necessity of demonstrating a powerful and intelligent military preparedness to instill maximum fear and deterrence in adversaries.
The high-level discussions were attended by key military figures, including Major General Abdollah, head of the Joint Armed Forces Staff, Major General Hatami, Commander of the Iranian Army, and Major General Vahidi, head of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. During this meeting, they were informed about military preparedness concerning the Persian Gulf region, the Strait of Hormuz, the Oman Sea, and the northern and eastern borders.
Khamenei indicated that the Iranian-backed armed groups operating across the region value combat readiness, asserting that this collaboration would facilitate the establishment of a new political and security structure in West Asia, fostering unity among all Muslim nations.
Meanwhile, Brigadier General Mohammad Akraminia, a spokesperson for the Iranian military, issued a message stating that should former US President Donald Trump attempt to engage in further military adventures against Iran in response to Zionist (Israeli) pressures, it could lead to an expansive regional conflict. "The authority to determine the conclusion of such a confrontation will not rest in Trump's hands," he warned emphatically.
