කතානායකට එරෙහිව අල්ලස් කොමිසමට සාක්‍ෂි 10ක්..

 

පාර්ලිමේන්තු කතානායක ජගත් වික‍්‍රමසිංහ මහතාට එරෙහිව එල්ල වී ඇති දූෂණ සහ වංචා චෝදනා සම්බන්ධයෙන් විධිමත් විමර්ශනයක් පවත්වන ලෙස ඉල්ලමින් පිවිතුරු හෙළ උරුමය පක්ෂය අද (30) අල්ලස් හෝ දූෂණ විමර්ශන කොමිෂන් සභාවට පැමිණිල්ලක් ඉදිරිපත් කළේය.

එම පක්ෂයේ ප්‍රධාන ලේකම් උපුල් ගමගේ මහතා විසින් ඉදිරිපත් කරන ලද මෙම පැමිණිල්ල සමඟ කතානායකවරයාගේ දූෂණ ක්‍රියාවලට අදාළ ලිඛිත සාක්ෂි 10ක් ද කොමිසම වෙත භාර දී තිබේ.

කතානායකවරයාට එරෙහිව ඉදිරිපත් කර ඇති චෝදනා අතර නිල නිවාස අවභාවිතය, ඉන්ධන කෝටාව ඉක්මවා ලබා ගැනීම සහ රජයේ දේපළ පෞද්ගලික පරිහරණයට ගැනීම යන කරුණු ප්‍රධාන වේ.

විශේෂයෙන්ම, කතානායකවරයාට හිමි නිල නිවසට අමතරව වෙනත් නිවසක් භාවිතා කිරීම, එහි පෞද්ගලික කාර්ය මණ්ඩලයක් රඳවා තැබීම සහ නිල නිවසේ තිබූ ගෘහ භාණ්ඩ හා උපකරණ සිය පෞද්ගලික නිවස වෙත රැගෙන යාම සම්බන්ධයෙන් සාක්ෂි ඉදිරිපත් කර ඇති බව ගම්මන්පිල මහතා සඳහන් කළේය.

මෙම දූෂණ චෝදනා පිළිබඳව මීට මාස කිහිපයකට පෙර පාර්ලිමේන්තුවේ කාර්ය මණ්ඩල ප්‍රධානී චමින්ද කුලරත්න මහතා විසින් ද කරුණු අනාවරණය කර තිබූ බවත්, ඒ පිළිබඳව මෙතෙක් කිසිදු විධිමත් පියවරක් ගෙන ඇති බවක් මාධ්‍ය මගින් වාර්තා නොවූ බවත් පිවිතුරු හෙළ උරුමය පෙන්වා දෙයි.

පැමිණිල්ල ඉදිරිපත් කිරීමෙන් අනතුරුව මාධ්‍ය වෙත අදහස් දැක්වූ උපුල් ගමගේ මහතා මෙසේ පැවසීය.

"අල්ලස් කොමිසමේ අධ්‍යක්ෂ ජනරාල් රංග දිසානායක මහතා නිතරම පවසන්නේ මෙය ස්වාධීන ආයතනයක් බවයි. රටේ තුන්වන පුරවැසියා වන කතානායකවරයාට එරෙහිව අප ඉදිරිපත් කළ මෙම සාක්ෂි මත පදනම්ව කොමිසම ක්‍රියා කරන ආකාරය අනුව එහි ස්වාධීනත්වය රටටම දැකගත හැකි වනු ඇත. මෙය රජයට එරෙහි සටනක් නොව, දූෂණයට එරෙහිව අප පක්ෂය ගන්නා වගකීම් සහගත පියවරක්."

කතානායකවරයා විසින් පාර්ලිමේන්තු මන්ත්‍රීවරයෙකු ලෙස හිමි ඉන්ධන කෝටාවට අමතරව වැඩිපුර ඉන්ධන ලබා ගැනීම සම්බන්ධයෙන් ද මෙහිදී විශේෂ අවධානයක් යොමු කර තිබේ.

Call for Investigation into Allegations Against Speaker of Parliament Jagath Vikramasinghe

The Purawesi Hela Urumaya party formally lodged a complaint with the Bribery or Corruption Investigation Commission today, asking for a comprehensive inquiry into corruption and fraud allegations against Speaker of Parliament Jagath Vikramasinghe.

Submitted by the party's General Secretary, Upul Gammanpila, the complaint included ten pieces of written evidence pertaining to the Speaker's alleged corrupt activities.

The allegations against Vikramasinghe center around the misuse of official residences, unauthorized acquisition of fuel quotas, and the private use of state property.

Notably, evidence has been presented that claims Vikramasinghe has been using an additional residence besides his official home, maintaining a personal staff there, and moving household items and equipment from the official residence to his private home, as disclosed by Gammanpila.

Several months ago, Chaminda Kulaaratne, the Head of the Parliamentary Staff, highlighted these corruption allegations in Parliament; however, the Purawesi Hela Urumaya pointed out that no formal actions have been reported in the media since then.

In a statement to the media following the complaint, Gammanpila emphasized, "The Director General of the Bribery Commission, Rangadisaanayaka, consistently states that this is an independent institution. Based on the evidence we have presented against the Speaker, who is the third citizen of the country, we will see how the commission acts, thus reflecting its independence for our nation. This is not a battle against the government, but a responsible step our party is taking against corruption."

Additionally, attention has been drawn to the Speaker's unauthorized acquisition of fuel beyond his parliamentary entitlement.
