ADB වෙතින් ලංකාව ඩොලර් මිලියන 200ක ණයක් ගනි..

 මැද පෙරදිග කලාපයේ පවතින අර්බුදකාරී තත්ත්වය හේතුවෙන් ශ්‍රී ලංකාවට එල්ල විය හැකි ආර්ථික බලපෑම් අවම කර මෙරට ආර්ථිකය ආරක්ෂා කිරීම සඳහා ඇමරිකානු ඩොලර් මිලියන 200ක ණය මුදලක් ලබාදීමට ආසියානු සංවර්ධන බැංකුව අනුමැතිය ලබා දී තිබේ.

මෙම ණය මුදල ප්‍රතිපත්තිමය ණය පහසුකමක් ලෙස මෙරටට හිමිවන අතර, ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ වෙළෙඳ, ආයෝජන සහ කර්මාන්ත සංවර්ධන වැඩසටහන් ක්‍රියාත්මක කිරීම සඳහා එය යොදා ගැනීමට නියමිතය.

මෙරට ආර්ථිකය තවදුරටත් ශක්තිමත් කිරීම සහ අඩු ආදායම්ලාභී පවුල්වල ජීවනෝපාය ආරක්ෂා කිරීම මෙම මූල්‍ය ආධාරයේ ප්‍රධාන අරමුණක් බව ආසියානු සංවර්ධන බැංකුව පෙන්වා දෙයි.

මේ සම්බන්ධයෙන් අදහස් දක්වමින් ආසියානු සංවර්ධන බැංකුවේ සභාපති ප්‍රකාශ කර ඇත්තේ, මැද පෙරදිග අර්බුදය හේතුවෙන් ආසියාව සහ ශාන්තිකර කලාපය පුරා ඉහළ ආර්ථික අවිනිශ්චිතතාවක් නිර්මාණය වී ඇති බවයි.

මෙම අර්බුදය හේතුවෙන් ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ රැකියා උත්පාදනයට, නව ආයෝජන ලබා ගැනීමට සහ වෙළෙඳ කටයුතු පුළුල් කර ගැනීමට බාධා පැමිණීමට ඉඩ නොදිය යුතු බවත්, මෙම ණය මුදල ඒ සඳහා විශාල ශක්තියක් වනු ඇති බවත් ඔහු වැඩිදුරටත් සඳහන් කළේය.

මෙම මූල්‍ය සහාය යටතේ ශ්‍රී ලංකාවට තවත් ඇමරිකානු ඩොලර් මිලියන 100ක අතිරේක මූල්‍ය පහසුකමක් හිමිවීමට නියමිත අතර, එමඟින් මැද පෙරදිග අර්බුදයෙන් එල්ල වන බලපෑම්වලට සාර්ථකව මුහුණ දීමේ හැකියාව මෙරටට ලැබෙනු ඇත.

වෙළෙඳ පද්ධති නවීකරණය කිරීම, සුළු හා මධ්‍ය පරිමාණ ව්‍යවසායන් වඩාත් තරගකාරී මට්ටමට පත් කිරීම සහ ආර්ථික කලාප සඳහා ආයෝජන ආකර්ෂණය කර ගැනීම වෙනුවෙන් ක්‍රියාත්මක කෙරෙන ප්‍රතිසංස්කරණ සඳහා මෙම වැඩසටහන මඟින් අඛණ්ඩ සහාය ලබා දෙන බව ද ආසියානු සංවර්ධන බැංකුව අවධාරණය කරයි.

Asian Development Bank Approves $200 Million Loan to Strengthen Sri Lanka's Economy

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has recently approved a loan of $200 million to help fortify Sri Lanka's economy against potential impacts stemming from the ongoing crisis in the Middle East. This financial support aims to safeguard the island nation’s economic stability during these challenging times.

This funding will be allocated as a policy-based loan, facilitating the execution of various programs aimed at enhancing trade, investment, and industrial development within Sri Lanka.

The primary objectives of this financial aid are to further strengthen the economy and secure the livelihoods of low-income families, as highlighted by the ADB.

In remarks on the situation, the ADB President emphasized that the crisis in the Middle East has resulted in heightened economic uncertainty across Asia and the surrounding regions. He noted that it is crucial not to hinder job creation, attract new investments, and expand trade in Sri Lanka due to the ongoing turmoil.

Furthermore, he indicated that this loan would provide significant support in addressing these challenges effectively. The ADB also plans to grant an additional financial facility of $100 million to Sri Lanka under this assistance framework, aimed at enhancing the country’s capacity to cope with the adverse effects of the ongoing crisis.

The ADB underscored that this initiative will provide continuous support for reforms intended to modernize trade systems, enhance the competitiveness of small and medium enterprises, and attract investments in economic sectors.
