විනිසුරුවරුන්ගේ විශ්‍රාම ගැන්වීමේ වයස වසර දෙකකින් දීර්ඝ කිරීමට රජය තීරණය කර තිබේ.

 ඊට අදාළ විශේෂ කැබිනට් පත්‍රිකාව අද (27) දින කැබිනට් මණ්ඩලය වෙත ඉදිරිපත් කිරීමට නියමිතව ඇත.

මේ සම්බන්ධයෙන් අධිකරණ හා ජාතික ඒකාබද්ධතා අමාත්‍ය හර්ෂණ නානායක්කාර මහතා ප්‍රකාශ කර ඇත්තේ, මහාධිකරණ සහ අභියාචනාධිකරණ විනිසුරුවරුන්ගේ පමණක් නොව, අධිකරණ පද්ධතියේ සියලුම විනිසුරුවරුන්ගේ විශ්‍රාම යන වයස වසර දෙකකින් ඉහළ නැංවීමට රජය ප්‍රතිපත්තිමය තීරණයක් ගෙන ඇති බවයි.

ඒ අනුව, අදාළ වයස් සීමාවන් දීර්ඝ කිරීම සඳහා අවශ්‍ය මූලික පියවර මේ වන විටත් ගනිමින් පවතින බව අමාත්‍යවරයා වැඩිදුරටත් සඳහන් කර තිබේ.

අද දින ඉදිරිපත් කෙරෙන කැබිනට් පත්‍රිකාවට අනුමැතිය හිමි වූ වහාම, ඊට අදාළ ඉදිරි නීතිමය ක්‍රියාමාර්ග කඩිනමින් ගැනීමට රජය අපේක්ෂා කරයි.

Government Proposes Increase in Judges' Retirement Age by Two Years

The Sri Lankan government has announced its decision to extend the retirement age for judges by an additional two years. This significant measure aims to benefit not only the Supreme Court and Appeal Court judges but also all members of the judiciary.

A special cabinet paper related to this initiative is scheduled to be presented to the Cabinet today, October 27. Minister of Justice and National Integration, Harshana Rajakaruna, emphasized the government's commitment to this policy change.

Minister Rajakaruna also pointed out that necessary preliminary steps have already been undertaken to implement the extended retirement age effectively. The government is keen on ensuring that the relevant legal procedures are expedited once the cabinet paper secures approval.
