අපිරිසිදු ආපනශාලා තුනක් වසා දැමීමට අධිකරණය නියෝග කරයි..

කොටගල සහ තලවකැලේ සෞඛ්‍ය වෛද්‍ය නිලධාරී (MOH) කාර්යාලයේ මහජන සෞඛ්‍ය පරීක්ෂකවරුන් විසින් තලවකැලේ නගරයේ සිදු කළ හදිසි පරීක්ෂාවකදී ආහාර පනත සහ ඒ යටතේ පනවා ඇති රෙගුලාසිවලට පටහැනිව අපිරිසිදු අයුරින් පවත්වාගෙන ගිය ආපනශාලා තුනක් දින 30ක කාලයක් වසා දමා එම ආපනශාලා පිරිසිදු ආකාරයට සකස් කර මහජන සෞඛ්‍ය පරික්ෂකවරුන්ට පෙන්වා ඒ පිලිබදව අධිකරණය හමුවේ පෙනී සිටින ලෙස එම ආපනශාලා හිමියන් තිදෙනාට නුවරඑලිය මහේස්ත්‍රාත් බුද්ධිකා හර්ෂනී ධර්මදාස මහත්මිය නියෝග කලහ.

ආපනශාලා වසා දැමීමට අමතරව එම ආපනශාලා හිමියෙකුට රු.35000 බැගින් හෝටල් හිමියන් තිදෙනාට රු.එක්ලක්ෂ පන්දහසක දඩ නියම කල මහේස්ත්‍රාත්වරිය සැකකරුවන් හමුවේ කියා සිටියේ, ආහාර පනත හා ඒ යටතේ පනවා ඇති රෙගුලාසිවලට අනුකූල වන පරිදි සියලු සෞඛ්‍ය අඩුපාඩු නිවැරදි කර, මහජන සෞඛ්‍ය පරීක්ෂකවරුන්ගේ පරීක්ෂාවට ඉදිරිපත් කර, ඔවුන් මාර්ගයෙන් අධිකරණයට වාර්තාවක් ඉදිරිපත් කිරීමෙන් පසුව පමණක් නැවත හෝටල් විවෘත කර ව්‍යාපාර කටයුතු ආරම්භ කළ හැකි බවද මහේස්ත්‍රාත්වරිය නියෝග කළේය.

මෙම වැටලීම ඉකුත් (04) දින මහජන සෞඛ්‍ය පරික්ෂකවරුන් විසින් සිදු කර එම ආපනශාලා හිමියන් තිදෙනා අධිකරණය වෙත ඉදිරිපත් කරනු ලැබීය.

Health Authorities Shut Down Unsanitary Restaurants in Talawakelle

The Municipal Health Inspectors, operating under the Medical Officer of Health (MOH) for Kotagala and Talawakelle, have taken decisive action following an emergency inspection in the Talawakelle town. Three restaurants were closed for failing to comply with the Food Act and associated regulations, maintaining unsanitary conditions.

After a thorough assessment, these establishments were ordered to cease operations for a period of 30 days. The restaurant owners were required to carry out necessary sanitation measures and then present their improvements to the health inspectors. The case is now set to be reviewed before the Nuwara Eliya Magistrate's Court, following orders from Magistrate Buddhika Harshani Dharmadas.

In addition to the closures, each restaurant owner has been fined Rs. 35,000 for violations related to public health standards, culminating in a total penalty of over Rs. 100,000. The magistrate underscored the importance of addressing all health deficiencies in accordance with the Food Act, and emphasized that the restaurants could only reopen their businesses after providing evidence of compliance to health inspectors and subsequent court report submissions.

This crackdown was executed on the 4th of this month, following persistent oversight by public health inspectors that culminated in bringing the restaurant owners before the court.
