කොළඹ - 07, රොස්මිඩ් පෙදෙසේ පිහිටි සිලෝන් නිස්පේපර්ස් පුද්ගලික ආයතනයේ සේවක ගැටලු සම්බන්ධයෙන් කඩිනම් විමර්ශනයක් සිදුකර වාර්තාවක් ඉදිරිපත් කරන ලෙස කම්කරු නියෝජ්‍ය අමාත්‍ය මහින්ද ජයසිංහ මහතා විසින් කම්කරු කොමසාරිස් ජනරාල් නදීකා වටලියද්ද මහත්මිය වෙත උපදෙස් ලබාදී තිබේ.

අදාළ ආයතනයේ සේවකයන් අනීතික ලෙස සේවයෙන් ඉවත් කිරීම, වැටුප් නොගෙවීම, පාරිතෝෂික නොගෙවීම, සේවක අර්ථසාධක අරමුදල (EPF) සහ සේවක භාරකාර අරමුදල (ETF) සඳහා දායක මුදල් නොගෙවීම ඇතුළු චෝදනා සම්බන්ධයෙන් පුළුල් විමර්ශනයක් සිදු කරන ලෙස නියෝජ්‍ය අමාත්‍යවරයා දැනුම්දී ඇත.

පසුගිය කාලසීමාව තුළ සිලෝන් නිව්නේ පර්ස් පුද්ගලික ආයතනයේ සේවකයන් රැසක් විවිධ සේවා ගැටලු වලට මුහුණපා ඇති බවට තොරතුරු වාර්තා වී තිබේ.

එමෙන්ම, තමන්ට සිදු වූ අසාධාරණකම් සම්බන්ධයෙන් සේවකයන් කිහිපදෙනෙකු මේ වන විටත් කම්කරු දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව වෙත පැමිණිලි ඉදිරිපත් කර ඇති අතර, එම පැමිණිලි සම්බන්ධයෙන් විමර්ශන මේ වනවිටත් ක්‍රියාත්මක වෙමින් පවතී.

සේවා ස්ථානවල පැන නගින කම්කරු ආරවුල් සහ ගැටලු සම්බන්ධයෙන් සේව්‍ය හා සේවක දෙපාර්ශ්වයට එකඟතාවකට පැමිණීමට නොහැකි වන අවස්ථා වලදී ප්‍රමාදයකින් තොරව කම්කරු දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව දැනුම්වත් කරන ලෙසද කම්කරු නියෝජ්‍ය අමාත්‍ය මහින්ද ජයසිංහ මහතා සේව්‍ය සේවක දෙපාර්ශ්වයෙන්ම ඉල්ලා සිටියි.

Mandatory Investigation Ordered into Employee Issues at Sylon News Papers

Colombo - The Deputy Minister of Labour, Mahinda Jayasinghe, has directed the Commissioner General of Labour, Nadika Wataliyadda, to conduct an immediate investigation and submit a report regarding employee issues at the Sylon Newspapers private institution located in the Rosmead Place area.

Allegations against the establishment include the unlawful termination of employees, non-payment of salaries, unpaid bonuses, and failure to contribute to the Employees' Provident Fund (EPF) and the Employees' Trust Fund (ETF). The Deputy Minister has requested a comprehensive inquiry into these matters.

Reports indicate that numerous employees at Sylon Newspapers have faced a variety of workplace issues in recent times. Additionally, several employees have already lodged complaints with the Labour Department regarding injustices they have experienced, prompting ongoing investigations into these allegations.

In instances where the management and employee parties are unable to reach consensus regarding workplace disputes and issues, Deputy Minister Jayasinghe has urged both sides to promptly inform the Labour Department to avoid delays.
