 පාතාල ක්‍රියාකාරීන් හෝ මත්ද්‍රව්‍ය ජාවාරම්කරුවන් ඉදිරියේ තම රජය කිසිසේත්ම පසුබට නොවන බවත්, ජනතාවට ලබාදුන් පොරොන්දු ඉටුකිරීම සඳහා ඕනෑම දැඩි තීරණයක් ගැනීමට රජය සූදානම් බවත් නියෝජ්‍ය අමාත්‍ය මහින්ද ජයසිංහ මහතා අවධාරණය කරයි. 

විපක්ෂයේ ඇතැම් පිරිස්වලට පාතාලය සහ මත්ද්‍රව්‍ය ජාවාරම්කරුවන් සමඟ පවතින සබඳතා මේ වන විට හෙළිදරව් වෙමින් පවතින බව පෙන්වා දුන් නියෝජ්‍ය අමාත්‍යවරයා, එවැනි කිසිදු බලපෑමකට තම රජය යටත් නොවන බව සඳහන් කළේය.

බදුල්ල මහාධිකරණය විසින් සමගි ජන බලවේගයේ පාර්ලිමේන්තු මන්ත්‍රී චමින්ද විජේසිරි මහතා සම්බන්ධයෙන් ලබාදුන් තීන්දුව පිළිබඳව ද අදහස් දැක්වූ මහින්ද ජයසිංහ මහතා, දේශපාලන බලය, ධන බලය හෝ අවි බලය යොදාගෙන ජනතාව බිය ගැන්වූ චණ්ඩිකම් කරන යුගය දැන් අවසන් වී ඇති බව ප්‍රකාශ කළේය. මන්ත්‍රීවරුන් ලෙස හෝ ඔවුන්ගේ අනුහසින් ගම් මට්ටමින් චණ්ඩිකම් කරන පිරිස්වලට එරෙහිව නීතිය අකුරටම ක්‍රියාත්මක වන බවත්, දැන් ක්‍රියාත්මක වන්නේ පුරවැසි බලය බවත් ඔහු අවධාරණය කළේය.

රටේ ජනතාවගේ සුබසිද්ධිය වෙනුවෙන් රජය ගන්නා තීරණ කිසිදු බාධාවකින් තොරව ඉදිරියට ගෙන යන බවත්, මත්ද්‍රව්‍ය සහ පාතාලය මෙරටින් තුරන් කිරීමේ මෙහෙයුම් තවදුරටත් ශක්තිමත්ව ක්‍රියාත්මක කරන බවත් නියෝජ්‍ය අමාත්‍යවරයා මෙහිදී සහතික විය.

Government Ensures Firm Stance Against Underworld and Drug Traffickers

Deputy Minister Mahinda Jayasinghe emphasized the government's unwavering commitment to ensure that it will never be subservient to underworld figures or drug traffickers. He asserted the administration's readiness to make stringent decisions aimed at fulfilling promises made to the people.

Highlighting recent discussions about the opposition's alleged connections with criminal networks and drug dealers, the Deputy Minister firmly stated that such influences would not sway the government.

"We do not allow fear of anyone to compromise our actions. It is our primary responsibility to meet the trust and expectations placed upon us by the public," he reiterated.

In response to the verdict issued by the Badulla High Court regarding MP Chaminda Wijesiri of the Samagi Jana Balawegaya, Jayasinghe declared that the era of instilling fear in the populace through political power, wealth, or force has come to an end. He assured that the law will be rigorously applied against those who engage in intimidation, whether as elected officials or through their associates, stressing that the true power now lies with the citizens.

The Deputy Minister also confirmed that the government's decisions aimed at benefiting the people's welfare will proceed without hindrance and that operations to combat drug trafficking and organized crime will continue to be strengthened.
