අද (15) අලුයම 1.00 ට පමණ සභාපතිවරයාගේ ජංගම දුරකථනයට ඇමතුමක් ලබාදුන් පුද්ගලයකු, "එළිවීමට පෙර මරා දමන බවට" තර්ජනය කර ඇති බව පොලිසිය පවසයි.
මෙම තර්ජනයත් සමඟ සභාපතිවරයා වහාම පොලිස් හදිසි ඇමතුම් අංශය (119) දැනුවත් කර ඇති අතර, ඒ අනුව ක්රියාත්මක වූ හොරණ මූලස්ථාන පොලිසියේ නිලධාරීන් කණ්ඩායමක් ඔහුගේ නිවසට ගොස් ප්රකාශ සටහන් කරගෙන තිබේ.
අදාළ දුරකථන ඇමතුම ලබාගත් පුද්ගලයාගේ අනන්යතාව හෙළි කරගැනීම සඳහා දුරකථන අංකය සහ ඇමතුම් වාර්තා ඔස්සේ තාක්ෂණික විමර්ශන සිදුකරන බව පොලිසිය සඳහන් කළේය.
එමෙන්ම සභාපතිවරයාගේ ආරක්ෂාව තහවුරු කිරීම සඳහා අවශ්ය පියවර ගැනීමට ද පොලිසියේ අවධානය යොමුව ඇත.

Threats to Local Politician Prompt Police Investigation in Horana
Samana Sujeewa, the chairman of the Millaniya Pradeshiya Sabha representing the National People’s Power, has reportedly received a death threat via an anonymous phone call. In response to a complaint lodged regarding this incident, the Horana Base Police have initiated a thorough investigation.
According to police sources, the threatening call was made around 1:00 AM today, during which the caller warned of plans to "kill before revealing." Following this alarming message, the chairman promptly alerted the police emergency hotline (119).
In line with the protocol, a team of officers from the Horana Base Police was dispatched to Sujeewa's residence to document the incident and gather preliminary statements.
Efforts are underway to uncover the identity of the individual who made the threatening call, with the police indicating that they will conduct a technical investigation using call records and the associated phone number.
Furthermore, police authorities are taking necessary precautions to ensure the chairman's safety amid ongoing inquiries into this serious matter.
The Horana Base Police will continue to lead further investigations related to these threats.
