2025දී අත්සන් කල ඉන්දු-ලංකා ආරක්‍ෂක ගිවිසුම වහා ක‍්‍රියාත්මක කරන්නැයි කියන්න ඉන්දීය ආරක්‍ෂක ඇමති ලංකාවට

 ඉන්දීය ආරක්ෂක අමාත්‍ය රාජ්නාත් සිං මහතා ලබන මස මුල් සතියේ ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ නිල සංචාරයක නිරත වීමට නියමිත බව 'The Sunday Times' පුවත්පත වාර්තා කරයි.

මෙම සංචාරයේ ප්‍රධාන අරමුණ වන්නේ පසුගිය වසරේ අප්‍රේල් මාසයේදී දෙරට අතර අත්සන් කරන ලද ආරක්ෂක සහයෝගීතාව පිළිබඳ අවබෝධතා ගිවිසුම (MoU) කඩිනමින් සහ පූර්ණ වශයෙන් ක්‍රියාත්මක කිරීම සඳහා අවශ්‍ය පියවර ගැනීමයි.

ආරක්ෂක අමාත්‍යවරයා ලෙස රාජ්නාත් සිං මහතා මෙරට සිදුකරන පළමු සංචාරය මෙය වන අතර, එහිදී ඔහු ආරක්ෂක විෂය භාර ජනාධිපති අනුර කුමාර දිසානායක මහතා, අග්‍රාමාත්‍ය හරිනි අමරසූරිය මහත්මිය සහ ආරක්ෂක අමාත්‍යාංශයේ ලේකම් එයාර් වයිස් මාර්ෂල් (විශ්‍රාමික) සම්පත් තුයියකොන්තා මහතා සමග විශේෂ සාකච්ඡා පවත්වනු ඇත. සිය දෙදින සංචාරය අතරතුර ඔහු ත්‍රිවිධ හමුදාපතිවරුන් ද හමුවීමට නියමිතය.

ඉන්දීය විදේශ ලේකම් වික්‍රම් මිස්රි මහතා මෙරට සිදුකළ සංචාරයෙන් අනතුරුව සිදුවන මෙම සංචාරය, දෙරටේ නායකයන් මීට පෙර එකඟ වූ ව්‍යාපෘති කඩිනම් කිරීමේ ඉන්දීය උත්සාහයේ තවත් එක් පියවරකි.

ඉන්දීය විදේශ කටයුතු අමාත්‍යාංශය සඳහන් කරන පරිදි, විදුලිබල පද්ධති සම්බන්ධ කිරීමේ ව්‍යාපෘතිය, සම්පූර් සූර්ය බලශක්ති ව්‍යාපෘතිය සහ ත්‍රිකුණාමලය බලශක්ති මධ්‍යස්ථානයක් ලෙස සංවර්ධනය කිරීමේ කටයුතු පිළිබඳව ද මෙහිදී අවධානය යොමු කෙරේ.

මීට අමතරව, ශ්‍රී ලංකා අනන්‍ය ඩිජිටල් හැඳුනුම්පත් ව්‍යාපෘතියේ ටෙන්ඩර් ක්‍රියාවලිය කඩිනම් කිරීම සහ ඇමරිකානු ඩොලර් මිලියන 61.5ක ඉන්දීය ආධාර යටතේ ක්‍රියාත්මක වන කන්කසන්තුරේ වරාය නවීකරණය කිරීමේ ව්‍යාපෘතිය පිළිබඳ අවබෝධතා ගිවිසුමකට එළඹීම සම්බන්ධයෙන් ද සාකච්ඡා පැවැත්වීමට නියමිතය.

දෙරට අතර අත්සන් කර ඇති ආරක්ෂක අවබෝධතා ගිවිසුම යටතේ ඒකාබද්ධ හමුදා අභ්‍යාස පැවැත්වීම, විවිධ ක්ෂේත්‍රයන්හි ධාරිතා වර්ධනය, මානුෂීය ආධාර සහ ආපදා සහන සේවා හුවමාරු කර ගැනීම, නාවික හමුදා යාත්‍රා වැඩි වශයෙන් වරායන් වෙත පැමිණීම සහ ආරක්ෂක කර්මාන්ත ක්ෂේත්‍රයේ සහයෝගීතාව වැනි කරුණු රැසක් ඇතුළත් වේ. වසර පහක කාලයක් සඳහා වලංගු වන මෙම ගිවිසුම, දෙරටේ ආරක්ෂක සහයෝගීතාව වඩාත් විධිමත් රාමුවකට ගෙන ඒමට අපේක්ෂා කරයි.

Indian Defense Minister Set for Official Visit to Sri Lanka Next Month

Indian Defense Minister Rajnath Singh is scheduled to embark on an official visit to Sri Lanka in the first week of next month, as reported by 'The Sunday Times'.

The primary aim of this trip is to expedite and fully implement the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on defense cooperation signed between the two nations last April.

This will mark Singh's inaugural visit as Defense Minister, during which he is expected to engage in significant discussions with President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, Prime Minister Harini Amarasuriya, and the Secretary of the Ministry of Defense, Air Vice Marshal (Retd) Sumath Thuyyakonath. He is also set to meet with the chiefs of the three armed forces during his two-day stay.

Following the recent visit by Indian Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri, Singh's upcoming trip is seen as a continuation of efforts to accelerate projects previously agreed upon by the leaders of both countries.

According to the Indian Ministry of External Affairs, the discussions will also focus on several key projects, including the power grid connection initiative, the Sampur solar power project, and the development of Trincomalee as an energy hub.

Additionally, there are plans to expedite the tender process for Sri Lanka's unique digital identity project and to engage in discussions regarding a MoU for the modernization of the Kankesanthurai harbor, funded by Indian assistance amounting to $61.5 million.

The defense cooperation agreement between the two countries encompasses various aspects, including joint military exercises, capacity building in multiple sectors, humanitarian assistance, disaster relief services, increased naval vessel visits to ports, and collaboration in the defense industry. This five-year agreement aims to create a more structured framework for defense cooperation between Sri Lanka and India.
