අභියාචනාධිකරණ සහ ශ්රේෂ්ඨාධිකරණ විනිසුරුවරුන්ගේ විශ්රාම ගැන්වීමේ වයස දීර්ඝ කිරීම සඳහා යෝජිත ආණ්ඩුක්රම ව්යවස්ථා සංශෝධනය සම්බන්ධයෙන් ජනාධිපතිවරයා සහ ශ්රී ලංකා නීතිඥ සංගමය අතර විශේෂ සාකච්ඡාවක් හෙට (12) පැවැත්වීමට නියමිතය.
නීතිඥ සංගමය විසින් කරන ලද ඉල්ලීමකට ප්රතිචාර දක්වමින් ජනාධිපතිවරයා මෙම අවස්ථාව ලබා දී ඇති අතර, ඒ අනුව හෙට පස්වරු 1.00 ට මෙම හමුව පැවැත්වෙන බව එම සංගමයේ ලේකම් රජිව් අමරසූරිය මහතා සඳහන් කළේය.
යෝජිත ව්යවස්ථා සංශෝධනය සම්බන්ධයෙන් සාකච්ඡා කිරීම සඳහා නීතිඥ සංගමය මීට මාස තුනකට පෙර ජනාධිපතිවරයාගෙන් අවස්ථාවක් ඉල්ලා තිබුණි.
එමෙන්ම, පසුගිය මැයි මස 25 වන දින ලිපියක් යොමු කරමින් මෙම සංශෝධනය සම්බන්ධයෙන් නීතිඥ සංගමය දරන ස්ථාවරය ද ජනාධිපතිවරයා වෙත නිල වශයෙන් දැනුම් දී තිබූ බව වැඩිදුරටත් වාර්තා වේ.
Special Discussion Scheduled Between President and Sri Lanka Bar Association on Proposed Constitutional Amendment
A significant discussion between the President and the Sri Lanka Bar Association regarding the proposed constitutional amendment aimed at extending the retirement age for judges of the Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court is set to take place tomorrow, the 12th.
In response to a request from the Bar Association, the President has scheduled this meeting, which is expected to commence at 1:00 PM, as confirmed by Rajiv Amarasekera, the Secretary of the association.
Three months prior, the Bar Association had sought an opportunity to discuss this proposed amendment with the President.
Additionally, it has been reported that the Bar Association also officially conveyed its stance on the amendment through a letter sent to the President on May 25 of this year.
*Note: In case of any discrepancy between the Sinhala and English versions, the Sinhala version shall prevail.

නැතිනම් ව්යවස්ථා සංශෝදනය අනාගත දිනයක සිට ඉදිරියට (උදා: 2017 ජනවාරි 1) බලපැවැත්වෙන පරිදි - එනම් දැනට තනතුරු වලට පත්ව සිටින විනිසුරුවරුන්ට මෙම සංශෝදනයෙන් වාසියක් ලැබෙන්නේ නෑ - එම වාසිය 2017 ජනවාරි 1 සිට තනතුරු වලට පත් වන විනිසුරුවරුන්ට පමණක් ලැබෙන විදියට - එවිට එම වාසිය ලැබෙන්නේ කාටද - නොලැබෙන්නේ කාටද යන්න අප මේ මොහොතේ නිශ්චිතව දන්නේ නෑ - මේ ආකාරයට එම සංශෝදනය කළ යුතුයි
