කුඹුරු ඉඩම් ආයෝජකයන්ට විකුණා දැමීමට ඒරෙහිවීම, වී, අතිරේක ආහාර ඇතුළු භෝග වගාවට සැපයෙන ජලය සඳහා බදු අය කිරීමේ කූට සැලැස්ම පරාජය කිරීම, වී සඳහා ස්ථාවර, සාධාරණ මිලක් ඉල්ලා හඬ නැගීම, බීජ මිල, පොහොර මිල, කෘෂි යන්ත්‍ර සූත්‍ර මිල පහළ හෙළීම ඇතුළු ගොවි ගැටලු රැසක් මෙම හමුවේ දී සාකච්ඡා කෙරෙන බවත් ලේකම්වරයා කීවේය.

In a rallying cry against government intentions to auction off paddy fields to foreign investors, the United Farmers' Organization of the North Central Province is organizing a crucial meeting on the 25th at the Polonnaruwa Salika Hall. This gathering underscores the growing concerns among local farmers regarding the implications of such decisions.

According to the organization's secretary, Nimal Hewavitharana, farmer leaders from all districts are expected to participate in this significant event, signaling a unified front against the proposed land sales.

Key topics that will be discussed include opposition to the sale of paddy lands to private investors, the rejection of plans to impose taxes on water supplies for rice and other food crops, and demands for a stable and fair price for rice. Farmers will also address rising costs related to seed, fertilizer, and agricultural machinery.
